Jung Seok is a librarian who goes about his daily life with everything planned down to the second. Having obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, he wakes up, crosses the road, visits the convenience store and goes to bed at the same time every day. Whenever he sees anything out of place, he can't help himself but rectify it, a trait that is particularly irksome to his co-workers. Jung Seok develops a crush for a local convenience store's cashier who demonstrates a similar attention to order and cleanliness. When he finally works up the courage to tell her his feelings, he bumps into So Jung instead, a messy musician and free spirit whose life is lived spontaneously, adventurously and impulsively. With So Jung's help, he tries to woo his dream girl, but the only catch is that she wants someone who doesn't share her obsession for neatness. So now Jung Seok must break his routine and place himself outside of his comfort zone, as So Jung asks him to enter a singing audition program together with her. Edit Translation

Plan Man was definitery entertaining for me and also quite funny. The humor was great, and I was never bored watching this.

First, when I read the summary, I was interested mainly because So-Jong (the musician girl) sounded like such a fun character. And she definitely was. Overall, all acting in this movie was great.

The only negative thing about this movie is that towards the end, it could be a little fast-paced (mainly because of a flashback that changed the mood), which made it hard for the moods in this movie to go smoothly. But this problem only occured towards the end, and it still didnt manage to ruin the ending for me.
Other than that, I still don't know what became of So-Jong's mean ex, which kind of annoys me. They kind of forgot about the whole audition thing going on. But either way, the ending is great and definitely a better solution for them that the auditions either way.

I'm super happy with the relationship development, too.

Overall: Super entertaining, great individual character development and had some very fun moments. Definitely give it a shot.

“It’s hard for people to change. If changing was easy, we wouldn’t be humans.”

The Plan Man is way more than just the typical romcom. I wouldn’t consider this a romance if you may ask. If you expected a lovey-dovey, cute couple moments, this is not the movie for you. But if you are searching for deep, but still comedy, a story that explains to you the real meaning of love, I recommend you this one!

This movie tells a story of a man with OCD who wrote about meeting his crush for a hundred days in his diary. Han Jeong Seok (Jung Jae Young) plans everything with the alarm, and he never misses a single minute in doing his daily routine. When he manages to pick up his courage and confess to his crush who works in the minimarket, he was incredibly surprised to find that he was confessing his feelings to another female part timer, Yoo So Jeong (Han Ji Min), as he then left his diary by accident in the minimarket. As a woman who had a dream to be a singer, So Jeong wrote a song based on Jeong Seok’s diary and sang it live on the bar she always performed. When So Jeong realizes Jeong Seok’s feeling to her fellow workmate, she asks him to join her as a duo performing at an audition to impress his crush.

A simple story. But not cliche. Some may say the story is a little too overdramatic, but for me the story was just right. The story gives off a lot of meaning to love and life, especially for us to CHANGE. If you don’t change, when will you get better? We must take action to fight our trauma.

This may not be the most romantic romance movie there was, but this movie is worth the watch! Really sweet and meaningful, overall an 8.5/10 ⭐️
