Wow they're so cute together... wait what was the story about again?

I watched the re-edited version with 6 episodes and this story still did not make any sense at all. The only reason I watched is because of the hot trainer. The drama is very short yet feels slow and was not an enjoyable watch for me. With some editing and better pacing this could easily be an 8/10.

No grand gestures needed — just two people and the tension between them

This one got to me quietly. No big dramatic moments, no elaborate intimate scenes — just glances, small gestures, and a pull between two people that I felt without being able to fully explain. A disciplined stuntman and an idol actor who pursues him in exactly the way Jae Yeon can't stand — and somehow, maybe because of that, it works completely.
What I'm left with is mostly the ache of wanting more. I wanted to see how the relationship develops, what their everyday looks like, honestly just more scenes of these two existing in the same space together. That's not a complaint about what the series is — it's more of a compliment to what it managed to build in such a short time.
It's warm and sweet and over too quickly, and that bittersweet feeling of not getting enough is probably the most accurate review I can give it. A series that left me genuinely fond rather than just satisfied — which, for something this short, is no small thing.

So Darn Cute - A Review For The Re-Edited Version

The story is generic - a bit of 'enemies-to-lovers' with a bratty, entitled idol & a straight-by-the-book couldn't-care-about-idol's status stuntman. The episodes are short, and the overall vibe is very soft, slice of life. And that's the beauty of it. It's uncomplicated, sweet, and straight to the point. Very calming and cozy.

The main actors have good chemistry with their interactions and their banter, and the side characters also did a good job. I wouldn't say I saw any cringey acting in this one. I will say that the 1st episode was a little shaky for me. The editing was abrupt, but I think that's because this was in reel format before. However, after that, everything is done well, and the story follows beautifully.

Also, a side note, Lee Tae Hyung, the actor who plays Gu Jae Yeon in this show, his ears remind me of Wonho's ears

Just too cute but that vertical filming tho, ugh!

I agree with some of the reviews that the reel format sucked. I couldn't really look at these handsome actors on my screen. But outside of that, this was tastefully done with a strong story line and will have you begging for more. The chemistry between the two male leads was just out of this world! Don't sleep on Lee Tae Hyung boy. I guarantee his next BL with the right pairing will explode your screens. I'm here for it. Can't wait for that good angle 😏🔥

Adorable!

Ok, let me start with the most important PSA: PLS WATCH THE HORIZONTAL RE-EDIT OF THIS SHOW AND NOT THE REELS. Its a vaaaaaastly superior experience!

This show is so cute— omg, I love the celeb-meets-a-regular-person-and-shenanigans-ensue kind of stories. And this one is so well done! Moon Do Ha is a cutie- perfectly cast as an idol who is actually really lonely in real life and forms a connection with his martial arts teacher Jae Yeon, who is principled and disciplined, and a total hottie. Both actors are perfect for the roles they've been cast in, and they feel super believable as these characters. They had a very easy chemistry throughout the show, and although the kisses are very vanilla, it had me smiling with joy throughout.

I have 2 wishes: first, can someplease please take this concept and make a longer, proper length show? And second, can someone cast these 2 in another full-sized BL please?

Loved it!

Slowly catching feelings

I loved the dynamics and chemistry between the mains. The kiss after the end credits was good!
It had good visuals and subtle but good music.

The story was good. I loved how Moon Do Ha went from an arrogant actor to a lovesick puppy.

It's a great drama, i already rewatched it once and will definatly rewatch it more times.

Honestly I was suprised!

Honestly I was suprised! I wish there was a webtoon I could read because this is exactly the kind of dynamic I love.

I watched the 1h36min compilation (for free) so I didn’t have to deal with the annoying 2-minute episodes. The only downside—and why I took off 2 stars—is the format and the editing. It’s really choppy. But besides that, the acting and chemistry between the leads are absolutely amazing (playful, sometimes shy, and they give you those “having a crush” kind of feelings, lots of teasing and playful competition ).

I also liked their personalities. They’re not annoying or toxic, and everything is consensual. No melodrama, unnecessary angst, or people acting like jerks. If there were the standard 16ep 1h duration I wouldn't hesitate to watch cuz they are great on screen. If the editing was done properly it would have rlly hit the mark and made it better but even like this I ain't complaining much.

Spoilers:

For this kind of show, I wasn’t expecting a kiss, or I thought if there was one, it would be the awkward "dead fish" kind. But surprisingly, it was okay! There’s one kiss scene and a much longer and hotter post-credit scene (like, what the heck? Why not put it in the show?). They end up together near the end of the show, so there aren’t a lot of romantic scenes, but somehow, I didn’t mind since they were adorable. The idol rlly suprised me with his boldness and honesty. I thought they would go the classical troup way but they didnt! I was pleasantly suprised. Definitely a recommendation!

Re-edited version did justice

I love this! Even with its short duration, the story is saving it. The actors are actually the ones who make me want to watch more. They just have the right balance of tension, chemistry, and likable acting performances. Face-paced as expected, but still delivers quality appeal based on the mentioned reasons earlier.

The reel format is unsatisfying, and I’m so glad that they finally released the re-edited version with the usual landscape format of a drama. I felt so great watching it despite the obvious technical loopholes. Yet, the characters are just too cute that every scene they shared together, a ray of light has been flashed into my eyes.

It also has its own conflict to explore and emphasize how the MCs faced them. Aesthetically beautiful with eye-candy actors. I need a sequel with a longer time and more romantic scenarios from the two, especially since they finally became a couple.

Sweet and cute. The complaint from the majority regarding the reel format is reasonable, as the drama has a lower rating. But, after watching the story, especially in the re-edited version, it was a wonderful K-BL that just needed a minimum upgrade in its production area. Adorable story overall.

I liked it

Nothing stood out, but I genuinely did love this series. The actors and the characters were adorable. I loved the outfits, etc.

I just wanted… MORE.. Whilst I don’t initially watch BL for intimate scenes or kissing scenes (cause there’s more to love and relationships than this)— there were some scene where it made more sense to.. than not? This isn’t really a spoiler, but for example, during the locker scene, that would have been the perfect opportunity ahaha.

9/10, in my opinion! :)

Not enough stakes, not enough sparks.

This vertically filmed South Korean BL features the encounter of idol Do Ha and stuntman Jae Yeon. As the latest is teaching how to handle action scenes for his next movie to the former, feelings arise. Honestly, I found the story pretty forgettable overall and I think that chemistry could have been better. I was pretty interested by the set up, but looking back at the ending, I feel that the pay off was too modest given the set up done.

I would not recommend this series as I feel there are better BL out there. It is a pretty bingeable watch due to the format but I feel that nothing really exciting happens. The vertically filmed scenes did not help to showcase adequately the fighting scenes and the close up on the faces of the actors, rather than creating an impression of intimacy, left me with a feeling of disconnection.

Wonderful lead actors

I've watched this series a few times, both the vertical & the re-edited version. It is an easy flowing, cute & sweet story. I really enjoyed watching the lead actors interactions & expressions. They are both good looking, adorable & have great chemistry. I don't know what is taking so long to re cast them in another series/movie together.
