It didn't make bawl out crying but I felt the reality of raw human interaction in every way possible.

Story wise, I felt like it needed more time, a little more interaction here and there but all in all it gave me what it can with the limited time it was given

The actors were just amazing. Keiko was definitely leading the show while Ryo was not too far behind with a almost always consistently good performance. The rest of the cast felt like they were custom fitted into their roles that I think there is no way the cast could be better.

The songs were fitting but somehow forgettable.

Definitely something I would watch again. It's the kind of movie where you'll find ways to watch it again.

Overall, entertaining, funny, touching and somehow shocking.

This was a fairly “By The Numbers” tearjerker, but I love Keiko, and as usual, her acting lends to very likeable and believable characters…I was taken with Tsubasa from the moment I saw her. This film was heartbreaking for me not so much for its grand, tragic end, but more for the parts where you see Tsubasa going through her everyday life coping bravely with her handicap (doing her errands in her wheelchair, doing housework with the use of only her right arm), and the footage of her shortly after her accident when she was first going through the arduous and painful task of rehabilitation was harrowing and yet so admirable to watch.

Besides Keiko and Ryo Nishikido, Dakishimetai featured an all-star ensemble cast, including Eriko Sato and Aya Hirayama, albeit in minor roles.

"Damn! I choose the wrong movie to watch this night!" That's what I thought when I read 'This movie is based on true story' warning on the screen (^o^;) But, that's turn out not as sad as I think. Yes, it's touching, but not a tears dryer (^_^) Well, I don't know, maybe it would be tears dryer if it was a series, not just a movie (^_^)

It's a good movie anyway. The story goes smoothly and naturally, no wonder because this is based on true story. The ending is expected yet unexpected, because in the middle I still think of the opposite ending (^_^;)

Nishikido Ryo and Kitagawa Keiko's acting was good. But, honestly I always wait Kubota Masataka appearance in this movie XD
