Celebrating her graduation, Jiang Xing Chen is out camping alone. Although her bestie warns her, she is convinced that it’s safe since there aren’t that many perverts out there - or so she thinks, because just as she finished saying so, the young master of the Mo family, Mo Xiao, appears, holds his hand over her mouth and drags her into the tent. Here, he kisses her against her will, simulating a loving couple, while people outside seem to be looking for him. Afterwards, he gives her a ring and tells her to come find him in order to be compensated. Later, when Mo Xiao is pressured by his mother to marry, he chooses Jiang Xing Chen, who just happens to be there delivering some ordered food. Little does he know that Jiang Xing Chen’s father died from jumping off the building - and the Mo family seem to be the reason why he committed suicide. But even if she slaps him and throws his ring at him, he still insists on marrying this interesting but unconventional woman. Soon, the two of them are entangled as Mo Xiao does his (extreme) best to persuade her to marry him, and Jiang Xing Chen does her best to avoid this “lunatic” who caused her father’s business to fail, ultimately causing both of her parents to die. Unethical and Awesome
Well... dang. This extra-mini-miniseries is demented but logical and fascinating enough (for me). The ML is metaphorically on another plane, FAR AWAY from the rest of humanity. He's NOT a status or wealth-snob, but he's so powerful, rich, and unfathomably confident, that he embodies the essence of an immortal god/demon. He's a morally-grey ANTIHERO character, that is severely controlling, fierce and deadly but is also diametrically protective, loving and forgiving (toward FL and his assistant). He doesn't allow anyone to control him, even his own mean/controlling mother. His smirk/smile reminds me of a young Damon Salvatore from the Vampire Diaries but he's legitimately powerful enough to be ABOVE the law, like Klaus Michaelson, ("I AM immortal!") 😈, and he knows it. He ALWAYS has a trusting, positive, compassionate outlook of the FL's integrity and personhood - even when she betrays him out of her ignorance. The FL is understandably scared (and frustratingly) small-minded in the face of this type of larger-than-life antihero. Like the rest of us ignorant humans, she's not able to perceive the bigger picture nor find the truth. The happy ending was way too abrupt. Their chemistry was only partially explored via the ML's passionate pursuit and his (mostly forced) 💋 kisses, so the ending is the beginning of their consensual romance.
Just what i CRAVE IN A ROMANCE TO DIE FOR!
Sizzling, sexy and crazy....damn how i enjoyed "No One, But You"! We have the tough heroine getting fiercely pursued by the "never take no for an answer" hot, sexy and domineering Alpha-male of a Male Hero. The actor did a great job in portraying ML´s obsessiveness. He was so hot and ready for his beloved FL, even she was perplexed by the way he was chasing after her and when she asks him about it his answer is that his heart beats faster whenever he sees her. Ah yeah, he was so hot for her! And crazy too since he was even willing to point a gun to his own mother for the sake of being with the heroine. CRAZY AS HELL, but i loved him more for it as well!
