Siren’s Kiss may not be the easiest drama to watch, but that’s exactly what makes it stand out. It leans more into psychological tension and emotional storytelling rather than fast-paced twists, and I really appreciated that.Han Seolah is a complex character who carries a lot of pain, and Park Minyoung delivers a very controlled and nuanced performance. Her emotions aren’t always loud or exaggerated, but that subtlety fits the character perfectly. You can feel what she’s going through even in the quiet moments.
The relationship between Seolah and Wooseok also develops in a way that feels natural within the story. It’s not just romance, it’s about understanding, healing, and slowly learning to trust again.
Visually, the drama has a very moody and immersive atmosphere that matches its themes well. The storytelling might feel slow to some, but it builds tension steadily and focuses more on character depth than shock value.
Overall, this is a drama that stays with you because of its emotional weight and character-driven narrative. Definitely worth watching if you enjoy darker, more introspective stories.

iren’s Kiss? Nah—this was straight up Misogyny’s Kiss wrapped in a glossy drama poster.Let’s start with our so-called male lead. This guy isn’t a detective, not a cop, not even remotely qualified—he’s basically an insurance agent who somehow thinks he’s the Commissioner of Seoul Police. Bro sells policies door-to-door but interrogates people like he’s about to file charges. The audacity is actually impressive. You half expect him to flash a badge, but nope—just vibes and delusion.
And the female lead? She commits the ultimate crime: existing while attractive. That’s it. That’s her offense. The entire plot bends over backwards to punish her for being beautiful, as if that automatically makes her suspicious, manipulative, or somehow responsible for every creep orbiting her. Random men act entitled to her attention, her time, even her feelings—and the show just… rolls with it. No real critique, no pushback, just uncomfortable normalization.
Even worse, the male lead—yes, the endgame guy—is part of the problem early on. Throwing accusations, acting paranoid, judging her with zero evidence. And we’re supposed to root for this? This is the romantic payoff? That’s not character development, that’s selective amnesia.
The pacing doesn’t help either. The release schedule killed whatever little momentum it had. By the time a new episode dropped, you’d already forgotten why you were supposed to care. It’s the kind of show that might’ve worked better as a binge—dump all episodes at once and maybe the nonsense blends together enough to be tolerable.
But watching it weekly? Painful. You start noticing all the cracks, all the lazy writing, all the weird messaging.
Final verdict: 2/10.
Yes, it’s “watchable” in the same way junk food is edible—but don’t pretend it’s good for you.

Predictable, but other than that a pretty solid drama
The ending was pretty much what i expected from the very start of this drama. It was predictable but overall great. The actors did an amazing job, although i have my complaints about how scary FL looks in this drama. I get the korean beauty standards but this is just too much.The side characters were okay, they didn't have much personality, but some of them were likable, some of them i hated.
I could complain all day about the cops not doing their jobs properly and how they tried to victim blame until the end but i'm not gonna do that today.
Overall it was a solid drama, not the greatest but it definitely kept me waiting each after each episode.

Predictable, but other than that a good drama with thrill, mystery and romance in it...
Started off great but then in the last 2-3 episodes, it lost its momentum... The ending was okayish as the killer was too some point predictable but his motive was already predictable as he was always the lead prime suspect... I really thought they are gonna twist it in the last episode but they didn't do it... Ngl but till the scene of the FL and the culprit talking scene, him explaining her why he did, I thought there is a still a twist coming probably but I was wrong... Instead took a whole episode to stretch it.. I think it could have been better as the starting of the drama was great with intense thrill and suspense of who might be the killer but it failed to deliver... Overall, a great story with so much potential but it failed to deliver at last that too with a predictable ending... But its a good mystery thriller with romance, melodrama, especially how the leads got their happy endings (I was happy to see that though)... Sirens Kiss is one of those dramas that immediately pulls you in and keeps you constantly questioning what’s going to happen next. Every episode leaves you thinking, analyzing, and honestly… a little obsessed. It has that addictive quality where you just need to know what’s coming, even when the story starts to feel unpredictable.One of the biggest highlights for me is Wi Ha-joon. He’s already one of my favorite Korean actors, but this role really shows how dedicated he is to his craft. I know some people have said his character can come off as intense or even “too much,” but he actually mentioned in interviews that this is how real SIU workers can be. Knowing that makes his performance feel even more authentic. You can tell he really did his research, and it shows in every scene—his presence is strong, controlled, and completely captivating.
And then there’s the chemistry between him and Park Min-young… it’s honestly magnetic. The best way to describe it is exactly how they said in their Jenga Q&A—it’s like a push and pull. They drift apart, but somehow always find their way back into each other’s space. It’s not just about physical closeness; it’s in the way they look at each other, the tension, the emotions. Their chemistry feels deeper than just “skinship”—it’s emotional, intense, and very real.
The OST is another thing that really stood out to me. Every song fits perfectly with the scenes, enhancing the emotions and making moments feel even more powerful. It’s one of those soundtracks where you hear a song and immediately think of a specific scene—that’s how well it’s done.
Visually, the drama is stunning. The cinematography is absolutely beautiful and adds so much to the overall mood of the story. Every frame feels intentional, almost like you’re watching a piece of art rather than just a show.
That being said, the drama isn’t perfect—and that’s okay. The chairwoman’s storyline, for example, can feel a bit all over the place at times. It left me confused in certain moments, but at the same time, it made me even more suspicious of her character, which I think might have been intentional. The plot overall can also shift quickly—from light, funny scenes to serious, intense moments—which might feel inconsistent to some viewers. But for me, it adds to the unpredictability of the show.
What really makes Sirens Kiss special to me is how rewatchable it is. I can go back to it again and again and still feel the same emotions—but not only that, every time I rewatch it, I notice something new. There are little hidden details and clues that you don’t always catch the first time, which makes you think even more deeply about the story. It’s like what the director mentioned—there are layers to this drama, and the more you watch, the more you start to piece things together.
I originally started watching it because of Wi Ha-joon, but through this drama, Park Min-young has easily become one of my favorite actresses too. Both of them portray emotion so well—you can literally feel what their characters are going through just by the way they look at each other.
I also want to mention something people have been talking about—Park Min-young’s weight loss. From what’s been shared, she lost weight to fully immerse herself into her character, who lives on water and alcohol. That level of dedication really shows how passionate she is about acting and bringing authenticity to her roles.
Overall, I know this drama has mixed opinions, and I completely understand why. It’s not perfectly structured, and it can feel chaotic at times. But for me, that’s part of its charm. Sirens Kiss is emotional, unpredictable, visually stunning, and carried by incredible performances and chemistry that truly stands out.
I’ve been waiting for this drama for a long time and I can’t believe it’s about to end. Just 4 more episodes left and I really really hope we see more chemistry with Wi Ha-Joon and Park Min-Young they deserve such a happy ending because they’ve been through so much.
And honestly… I’ll keep rewatching it 🤍

Not worth it.
Park Minyoung used to be one of my favorite Korean actresses, but these days I can barely stand to look at her. In Healer, City hunter Sungyukwan scandal and even some of her later works, like When the weather is fine and What's wrong with secretary Kim, her face used to be so beautiful and expressive with her chubby cheeks and bright smile, I could stare at her for hours and not get bored, but now I'm not sure if she had more plastic surgery of if it's the excessive weight loss but, she's lost her brightness, her expressions are stiff and I can't quite understand what she's supposed to be feeling and that's unfortunate because this drama is very interesting, I really liked the first two episodes, but I'm not sure if I want to continue watching, I want to because I'm really curious as to what exactly is going on but, ughh the plastic face is just too distracting.I've done my best not to be distracted by Park Mingyoung's appearance, it's hard but it's worth it, Especially because the villain is so terrifying, he doesn't have that many scenes or even lines but his presence is so alluring, this might be my favorite of Ki Junghyun's characters. The plot is getting more interesting, Han Seola has got to have the worst luck in drama history it is a miracle she's still alive actually. I want to know more, I'm pretty invested here, let's see what happens in the upcoming episodes.
8 episodes into this drama, and I want my time back, by god this has gotten so dumb, this is an absolute waste of good cast. There are still 4 episodes left, and I'm not sure if I'm curious enough to see it though.
I tried to finish this but episodes 9-10 were garbage although I am curious to see how they wrap this up, I won't be watching I give up, I have had enough.

A Visually Beautiful Romance That Started Strong but Lost Momentum Later
Siren’s Kiss has an interesting concept and a very attractive visual style, especially in the beginning. The drama mixes romance, fantasy, and emotional tension in a way that immediately catches attention. The chemistry between the leads is one of the main reasons the series remains watchable throughout.The strongest aspect of the drama is definitely its atmosphere. The cinematography, soundtrack, and romantic scenes create a dreamy and emotional feeling that fits the fantasy setting well. Some intimate and emotional moments between the main couple were genuinely enjoyable and helped build attachment to the characters.
The cast also did a decent job overall. The leads had enough chemistry to carry the romantic parts of the story, and their emotional scenes worked better than expected. Certain moments were heartfelt and visually memorable.
However, the story becomes inconsistent as the drama progresses. While the beginning feels mysterious and exciting, the pacing in the middle starts to drag, and some plot developments feel repetitive or underdeveloped. Cheap thrills, decent pacing.
This is a decent watch, though I am not sure if the writers were lazy, wanted us to feel smart or underestimated the audience. As the twists and villains in this could be smelled a mile away. That said the pacing was decent, the chemistry fine and the music fit in really well making it an easy binge with very few annoying characters and lots and lots of poor attempts to confuse the audience with so called cliffhanger after cliffhanger... that honestly did not leave me hanging at all... Yet still got me klicking the next episode button, not so much to see what would happen next because I was confused and had a bunch of theories but rather see what happens next to confirm what I felt I already knew long ago...This is also a drama that pretty much tells the audience not to get life insurance as it may just may turn them eather to killers or murder suspects just for taking what is rightfully theres.
To be completely honest this is probably more of a 7,5, but the high bingeabillaty and entertainment value make up for most of the many flaws this drama has.

A Siren’s Downfall
I don’t know what the writer was thinking with this setup. I found myself pitying the female lead all the way until the final scene, because the writer completely failed her character. She showed so much potential in her introduction, but as the story progressed, she became a plot device.Also, it’s frustrating how the drama was falsely advertised, presenting both leads as equals. In reality, the female lead goes from being an independent woman to a damsel in distress by the end of the series. And don’t even get me started on the male lead basically acting like a full-time stalker.
The only saving grace of this drama is the acting. Otherwise, it would’ve been a straightforward 6/10 for me.

I think Asian dramas still have a long way to go when it comes to thrillers and plot twists. Sometimes, they get it right (Signal) but most of the ones I've seen border on the makjang/melodramatic and have over-the-top (very obvious) culprits which lessens the suspense. Overall, if judged specifically as a thriller* or a whodunnit*, Siren's Kiss is not quite there yet...but it is a step in the right direction.
In fact, I wasn't sure whether to classify it as a thriller/whodunit or a crime noir. They are not the same thing. I've watched a handful of Hollywood crime noir and from the start, you already know who the culprit is in this genre...it's usually the female lead and the whole point of the story is that she has to be taken down since she seduces and kills men. I'm not against watching this trope if done right, but I much prefer the more sympathetic take Siren's Kiss has, which historically, is the more modern one. While Park Min Young has made a career out of playing wholesome rom-com heroines and is very good at it, I don't think it's a bad thing for her to step outside her comfort zone and try something new. However, I can't quite see her as an all out villainess. While I still prefer her playing cheerful, girl-next-door types (she has a smile that lights up a room and a very friendly presence as an actress), her portrayal of the depressed and neurotic Han Seolah was convincing.
Wi Ha Joon is decent as detective Cha. He plays a similar character to his role in Squid Game, that of an investigator who is obsessive in his fight for justice and sometimes uses questionable means to get it. His actual fight scenes look real, not like he's just posing. He was quite obnoxious to the female lead at first, but overall is a good guy who is just rough around the edges. Kim Jung Hyun did very* well as Baek Jun Bom. His deranged facial expressions were so on point that I can't unsee them. I don't think I'll have an easy time seeing him as a good guy after this, but I'm certain that he's talented enough to ace a different role. Lee Elijah also shines as a character who is envious and obsessive, but also a victim and someone you sympathize with, after seeing her circumstances.
Viewers who are used to the shocking plot twists in Hollywood and European thrillers will be disappointed in the reveal of the big culprit, because it is quite obvious. On the other hand, I'm glad that, given how many crazy makjang characters appear here (probably as red herrings), the main culprit seems like quite the ordinary person. Perhaps it would have been better if his sister* turned out to be the culprit and he was just protecting her, turning out to be another red herring himself? That would have been one way to choose a villain who wasn't cartoony, but still surprising.
The strongest points of this drama are 1) the performances of the leads. The way bottled up trauma and release were represented by the lead actress- her scene after a funeral in the terrace with the male lead was quite powerful and they both delivered there. I feel a bit conflicted about the second male lead...his part in the story was too over the top for me, but as far as this type of role goes, he was really good at portraying a lunatic. Even the actress playing the nasty and scheming Art House chairwoman excelled. The show had this way of making a character do something seemingly normal, but look mysterious, like when the chairwoman stepped into a secret room full of art, her behavior made you know she was up to no good and want to keep guessing what she was up to.
2) The style of the show- There were a lot of symbolic things I liked. The way the male lead first sees the female lead through a one way mirror was similar to how a suspect is viewed by detectives in an interrogation room. The female lead is objectified here, but it is deliberate; one doesn't know if this woman is good or bad, so she is a big question mark. Even the OST is hauntingly beautiful. I like how the singer starts off humming softly and the song builds into a powerful crescendo...much like the way you'd imagine a siren singing. Very powerful OST and thematically fitting.
I don't usually go for bickering, antagonistic couples, so I'm glad that the main couple didn't stay enemies for long. I much preferred the scenes where they were finally working together and like how the male lead protected the female lead for so long once he realized she was innocent. I also like how the female lead returned the favor in the end. Even if she had zero fighting skills, she literally saved his life. I do agree with the flaw that they went from being antagonistic to being friends too fast. I don't know if the 12 episode format is to blame. On one hand, a few more episodes would have made the change more convincing (romance wise); on the other hand having more than 12 episodes would mean stretching out the mystery factor and I've seen many a series become boring as a result.

An underwhelming tale of Park Min Young and the mysterious demise of her lovers
A K-drama starring Park Min Young hardly ever misses and is always the latest buzz. So how can a mystery thriller with her and Wi Ha Joon end up failing to live up to its expectations?Siren’s Kiss is based on the J-drama Ice World aired in 1999. The Korean remake revolves around chief auctioneer Han Seol Ah (Park Min Young) who has a dark secret – all her lovers have died. Upon receiving a tip call, insurance investigator Cha Woo Seok (Wi Ha Joon) unexpectedly meets Seol Ah. His suspicions about her grew stronger once he starts digging into the deaths of Seol Ah’s lovers. The burning question is whether Seol Ah is a murderer or if she is also a mere victim of these unfortunate events.
Park Min Young made Seol Ah distinct with her inscrutable face and composed personality. Her eyes look empty and shallow as if life had sucked out of her. After all, it’s not that long when her fiancé died in a tragic accident which only her closest friends know about. Snapping back at a colleague might be the closest she comes to displaying emotion. She is very hard to read but aside from that the idea that she lures men to death does not seem convincing.
The narrative only framed her to be mysterious so viewers can join the agenda of blaming her for her lovers’ demises. She is enigmatic because she rarely opens up and maintains a high emotional wall. Her beauty is comparable to that of an ice princess but is that all she has to captivate men? Later on, we learned the reason why men throw themselves to her but I still can’t shake the feeling that Seol Ah is an empty shell and discovering her secrets made it a lot more anticlimactic.
Honestly, I expected a lot from Wi Ha Joon as the leading man in a mystery-thriller. It should be pretty easy for him to showcase his manly charm and sharp wit as a detective. Unfortunately, the script did not do him justice and undervalued his talent. He looks old and matured here when he could have been a hella sexy detective while searching for evidence and solving the case. Instead, he is an ace investigator here who constantly stalks and baits you in his traps.
While Woo Seok falling in love with Seol Ah is rooted in their shared misery and regrets, their romance seems contrived and lacks the electrifying tension. I need stolen glances and fleeting touches which will be our only source of skinship and make us crave more.
The biggest weakness of the show is how obvious from the get-go that the writer is purposely distracting us from the real culprit by injecting a lot of fillers. Perhaps, the show tried to stay faithful to the original story that the conflicts ended up feeling outdated and unimaginative. With all the clues laid out in the open, I guessed the real culprit early on. I realized early on that there is not much going on here than what I expected it to be.
The story keeps on circling around framing up a successful antisocial sexy pretty girl. She is labelled as dangerous because she is intimidating and people are jealous of what she has. We see her as a mind-twisting, vicious woman because that’s what the story wants us to believe. The first portion of the show kept me on my toes while the second half took its sweet time revealing the criminal, drawing out every episode and making every character a suspect.
With how simple and straightforward the conflict is, this would have been better off as a movie instead of a series. The ending also pulled a full 180 and was plagued by mawkishness and syrupy sentiments, an unfitting theme for a thriller.
I must commend how the villains are consistently scary, psychotic and eerily creepy. I also appreciate the parallel narratives between the authenticity of the art pieces and the credibility of Seol Ah’s alibis. If it weren’t for these two aspects, I would have already dropped watching.
Fair enough, this is easy to watch with its fast pacing but that doesn't mean it's worth your time. A mystery-thriller in which all the men who loved Park Min Young die should intrigue viewers, yet the execution falls flat. It lacks the mind-boggling twists and rollercoaster of emotions I was hoping for. After all, there is nothing to look forward to here, not Wi Ha Joon’s protective nature nor Park Min Young ice-goddess beauty.

A Great Mystery, Thriller, and Romance Drama. One of the best dramas of Park Min Young.
I was super excited to watch this series; it definitely did justice to my long wait. Casts are amazing, and all did their best, especially I love Kim Jung Hyun's acting as an obsessed ex bf. His creepy smile and his obsession with the FL is so crazy, and I love watching his acting more. Both FL & ML did an amazing job in this drama. Their relationship looks like an enemies-to-lovers. Park Min Young is so good at acting, as always; she's so gorgeous even though she looks a little bit unhealthy. No matter what, she did an amazing job as Han Seoul A, Park Min Young is a gorgeous and multitalented actress, and I hope she will get healthier like Early Years. The plot is so interesting and mysterious, and each episode gives curiosity for the next episode. Don't listen to those who're saying it's not worth watching. If you missed this, you will regret it. If anyone likes mysterious, Thriller dramas, this is a must, Worth your time. I really enjoyed all the characters, love to see Park Min Young in more dramas in this genre ( Thriller, mystery, and romance). Great acting from the villains. So far, this is the best Triller, romance K-drama I watched in 2026. The chemistry between the ML and FL is also perfect.
