Tears in My Eyes for Last Twilight

To start. I think this is a great show. Its incredibly sweet, very heartfelt and the leads do a great job especially Sea playing Day which is not an easy role to play. However, I don't think the show did a strong enough job in representing the visually impaired community. Considering Day's lack of sight plays such a vital part in the plot. To clarify, blind individuals don't wear sunglasses all the time. Though this was somewhat rectified as the series went on. Touching faces isn't really a thing either. Though they get away with it somewhat since Day only really does it majorly with his lover. The fact that he doesn't utilize a cane or guide dog of any kind is definitely not believable. I get Mhok guides him a lot but I guess that feeds into his character trait of not wanting to accept his impairment and his moms smothering. So again it could make sense in context of the show. Overall not terrible with representation in media...until the last episode. Now yes Cornea transplants are a thing, I don't know the ins and outs of them but they are a thing. However, we spent so much time showing Day's growth in independence owning a little book store (which I love btw) and accepting himself, for him to get the transplant the last 30 minutes of the show. That was not the move. It even semi felt ableist for a second, though I don't think genuinely the writers meant it in that way. The transplant was mentioned at the beginning of the show so it wasn't just a plot device. Either way Day's character changed for the better, I just would've been fine with him remaining visually impaired and maybe had some progress back in his vision. So then it didn't feel so off. Also I will say, I don't get some posts I've seen about Day and Mhok's relationship being toxic? Have you seen other BL's? Or other queer content!? There was literally nothing toxic about them really, except maybe a little codependence but thats totally understandable in context to the show! Day breaking it off so quickly wasn't his finest hour, and I don't think the 3 years later really needed to happen. But toxic? Nah, these two are so sweet and the growth of both the characters is really well done. Apart and together I loved their characters.

The story is great and very wel executed. The visuals and music are very beautiful.

The cast is great, every actor did such a great job.
And Jimmy and Sea are amazing, their dynaics and chemistry are so fantastic!! And they also have great kisses.

Outstanding

Personally my favourite drama GMMTV have created so far. Its so heartbreaking and so heartwarming all in one. I HIGHLY recommend this show to anyone who is considering it. It was written so beautiful and JimmySea really bring the characters of Mhok and Day to life. The ending brought a tear to my eye. Las t Twilight is so meaningful, Sea portrayed Day's devastation so perfectly and made every single person who watched it share his fear with him. The performance was incredible and the show is pure perfection in my eyes. Storyline is clear but complex.

Ok so, I'm giving this a 9.0 because of the last of episode 11, and most of episode 12. I do want to understand why Day broke up with Mhok but it just makes me mad, and don't get me started on how much I hate time skips. Until episode 11 though, its definitely in my top 5. Such an amazing drama. It made me cry, and scream, and squeal. However, I kinda felt that the moment he gets his sight back was kind of underwhelming, I don't know why but I mean, he hasn't seen in years. Would I recommend people to watch this? definitely yes. would I rewatch it? no.

A Beautiful Masterpiece That Will Break Your Heart

If you are looking for a shallow, cringey romance, Last Twilight is definitely not it. Produced by GMMTV and directed by the brilliant Aof Noppharnach, this Thai BL series is an absolute masterpiece of emotional storytelling. The plot follows Day, a rising badminton star who is rapidly losing his sight due to an illness, and Mork, a rough-around-the-edges mechanic who takes a job as Day's caretaker for the money. What follows is one of the most mature, respectful, and deeply moving stories ever told in the BL genre.Unlike many other shows that rely on forced comedy or unrealistic tropes, Last Twilight focuses on genuine human connection. The bond between Mork (Great Sapol) and Day (Sea Tawinan) develops with incredible patience and care. There is no fake drama or cheap cringe here; instead, the show treats Day’s disability with immense respect and realism. Watchers get to see a beautiful journey of two people healing each other, learning to appreciate the world through new perspectives, and finding light in total darkness.Be prepared, because this drama is an absolute tear-jerker. The emotional weight of the story is heavy, and it is almost impossible to watch without crying multiple times. The heartbreak of losing one's vision, combined with the pure, unconditional love that grows between the leads, creates scenes that are incredibly powerful. The cinematography is stunning, the soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful, and the acting is so phenomenal that you will feel every single ounce of their pain, hope, and joyUltimately, Last Twilight easily earns a 9/10. It is a breathtakingly beautiful series that transcends the typical BL boundaries. It will make you laugh, it will make you reflect on life, and most importantly, it will make you cry a river. It is a must-watch for anyone who appreciates deep, high-quality, and emotionally resonant dramas that stay with you long after the final credits roll.

pretend the last episode didn't exist

one of the best series I watched with the worst ending possible. just pretend the last episode don't exist. they built an amazing story but ended in ableism and completely senseless with all the emotional baggage thrown out of the window. what was the point?? it's been 5 years and I'm still mad at it hahahaha watch everything but the last episode so your love for the series doesn't get shattered and destroyed by bad writing. my tinfoil hat theory is that some GMM investors changed the script based on numbers. it makes no sense the whole series be a masterpiece for it to be a s*** show at the very end.

When Darkness Falls

I rarely give a 9/10, but this time, it's a 10/10 from me. Jimmy and Sea were superb, and delivered an amazing script. This was a BL that was not all sweetness and light, but at times, there was great sadness, as I contemplated what it would be like to lose my sight. I liked Jimmy's portrayal of the gruff thug, especially after seeing him in My Magic Prophecy with Sea. On the face of it, they (Jimmy and Sea) are an unlikely pair, but in the few shows I've seen of theirs, the magic is there. Sea was wonderful as the 'spoiled' brat with a handicap, who overcomes his fears through his interaction with Mhok - his 'care giver'. Having just watched Mark Pakin as the autistic student in High School Frenemy, it just emphasised how good an actor he is, as he plays a completely different role here. All the supporting cast - esp. Kun Kunchanuj, who played a blind man, were wonderful. The controlling mother -played by 'Cream' - I wanted to grab her and yell "He's a grown arsed man, FFS", but restrained myself. I love how the 'novel', Last Twilight, was woven into the script. There were no usual Thai NC moments, just love and tenderness, when the "first time" occurred. I can't praise this enough. I am sure there are some holes that can be poked, but right now, I cannot think of any.

When Love Becomes the Light in the Dark

"We live to pursue hope in life."

That quote from Day has stayed with me long after I finished Last Twilight, and I think it perfectly captures the heart of this beautiful series.

I honestly didn't expect to love this drama as much as I did, but it ended up becoming one of the best Thai BLs I've ever watched. Every episode made me feel something. I laughed, I cried, I smiled, and I found myself completely immersed in the journey of the characters. It was absolutely worth every minute.

Jimmy and Sea delivered such heartfelt and natural performances. Their chemistry felt effortless, making every emotional moment even more powerful. They didn't just portray Mhok and Day... they became them. Their emotions felt genuine, and it was impossible not to become attached to their story.

One of the things I loved most about Last Twilight is how beautifully it reminds us that life is unpredictable. In an instant, everything can change. Life will test you in ways you never imagined, but it can also bring unexpected people into your life... people who end up becoming your greatest source of comfort, strength, and love.

The series also sends a beautiful message that love isn't based on what we see with our eyes. Real love is about understanding, acceptance, trust, and choosing someone every single day despite life's uncertainties. That message was portrayed so sincerely that it left a lasting impact on me.

The character development throughout the series was exceptional. Watching Mhok and Day grow individually and together made their journey even more meaningful. Every challenge they faced shaped them into stronger, more compassionate people, making the ending feel truly earned.

I also have to mention the OST because it deserves so much praise. I honestly don't even know how many times I've listened to it, especially William's song. It's absolutely beautiful on its own, but hearing it during the emotional scenes made those moments hit even harder. His voice carried so much emotion that it elevated every scene it accompanied. Even after finishing the drama, I still find myself replaying the soundtrack because it instantly brings back all the feelings I experienced while watching.

The cinematography was stunning, the soundtrack perfectly complemented every scene, and the storytelling struck a wonderful balance between emotional, romantic, and hopeful moments. It never relied on unnecessary drama... it simply told a deeply human story that resonated with me.

Last Twilight is more than just a romance. It's a story about hope, healing, acceptance, and learning to find light even during life's darkest moments. It's a series that will stay with me for a very long time, and one I'll gladly recommend to anyone looking for a heartfelt, beautifully written BL.

i love the cast.. the emotion, the tension between each other character, the character development, the soundtrack, never been better than this:)) love youu jimmysea love you last twilight.

This isn't just an ordinary series, nor is it a boring school drama.I absolutely love the chemistry between the two leads. Anyone reading this review shouldn't think twice about watching it; the series is packed with stars, and not a single cast member disappoints.

Nunca vou superar

Algumas séries a gente gosta muito. Outras a gente termina e segue a vida.

O Day foi alguém que me tocou profundamente.

Nota: 100000/10.

wasted potential

I like it when shows are able to rip my heart out and stomp on it. I felt Mhok’s frustration and pain deep in my chest in the early-mid episodes.
Unfortunately what was a beautifully portrayed story slowly but gradually devolved into played out boring tropes.

Get that man Day some acting classes idk.. I feel like he focused so hard on the blind part (which he absolutely nailed btw) that he forgot he was also meant to be in love. Could be the scripts fault. Unlikely.

Extra point for disabled rep.
