Possesive love with steamy dream sequences & good looking leads
I found out about this drama from a sub-reddit and as they say, curiosity kills the cat.What I liked:
1. Romance - A steamy dream sequence at the start. Kissing scenes were hot and much later on there was sweetness in their relationship too. Great chemistry between Yuan Ning and Xu Jun Ning. However I wish there were more scenes of their interactions after they were honest with each other about their feelings.
2. FL characterisation - I liked that FL was firm with her love for SML despite the threats. I understood her resistance towards ML. Yuan Ning did well in her role.
3. ML characterisation - He was aggressive at the start but I was surprised by his arc. He was possessive in some scenes then considerate a few scenes later. It's great that he was remorseful and asked for FL's forgiveness because this rarely happened in vertical dramas. Xu Jun Ning was extremely hot in this role.
4. Length - This drama is less than 100 minutes, which makes it a perfect watch after dinner but before going to bed.
5. Supporting character - I liked ML's righthand man.
What I disliked:
1. Possessiveness - I am not a fan of possessive love. ML was ruthless at FL's wedding.
2. ML's family - SML's mother / ML's sis-in-law was materialistic. I pitied SML for being given a tough choice and I didn't blame him for not choosing FL.

Tension-so smoldering sexy i had to KEEP MY BREATH IN.!
Electric, Breathtaking and Sizzling- just what a crave for whenever i watch these Verticals (or reading a book). The idea of mainleads dreaming of making love to each other is such a exhilarating concept and it is not often done even in Romantic Novels, it takes me back to when i read one of my all time favourite "Lake of Dreams" by Linda Howard where the MC´s dreamt of making love with each other ever since they were children.We have the darkly menacing Mob Boss who is looking for a female with a Peach Blossom mark on her back shoulders, yearning for her with his every being and we have the terrified female lead not understanding the erotic dreams she is getting with the sexy stranger who can`t keep his hands or mouth off her! The whole crazy irony? That neither of them knows she is engaged to marry his nephew.

OVERALL IMPRESSION🌟• A short, intense, and emotional romance balancing passionate devotion against a genuinely evil scheme.
• The confusing beginning gradually becomes meaningful as the truth about the leads’ connection, separation, and suffering is revealed.
WHAT I LIKED💖
• The ML was straightforward, firm, cold, romantic, and utterly devoted to the FL.
• His years of searching and painful migraines convincingly showed how deeply their separation affected him.
• The FL’s transformation was the highlight. She eventually found the courage to defend herself and became the hero of her own story.
• The story was short, sweet, and fast-paced, without endless face-slapping or long, annoying speeches.
• I loved the beautiful wedding costume!
WHAT I DISLIKED⚠️
• The plot was initially difficult to understand, particularly the FL’s recurring passionate dreams and her fear of the man appearing in them.
• The SML’s carefully planned scheme was deeply cruel and caused both leads tremendous emotional suffering.
CHEMISTRY AND PERFORMANCES🔥
• The leads portrayed their powerful emotional and physical connection convincingly.
• The ML’s obsessive passion and the FL’s fear, confusion, and eventual strength gave the story its emotional intensity.
FINAL THOUGHTS💭
• I gladly recommend this short but powerful romance to viewers who enjoy intense chemistry, hidden connections, obsession, emotional revelations, and a strong FL transformation.
