Tutoryim are eating with the concept given

Even though the concept does have weird moments in the sense it’s a bit cringy - the cringe moments help make the show a bit cute and it’s allowing them to show their potential of acting and personally they are ding exceptionally well!! The acting in comparison to the script I can’t help but think they are doing exactly what they should be doing . Also yim with piercings isn’t something thought I would need but here’s am.

I can’t tell if this series will have any sad moments but tbc!!

Sex sells...

or so, because most screentime is awarded to nc scenes or stupid banter. Story? Afterthought. There is not really a comprehensible story. How they got to be lovers is just ridicilous. It does also not help when the subtitles are not well done and many jokes are drowned through bad translations.

I guess this was just a payday for the actors and they had fun doing something stupid. There are worse things then getting paid for doing something stupid. But overall this was just awful. A series doesn’t always have to take itself seriously, but there was not a story to speak of, the jokes were mostly in poor taste and of the lowest calibre.

And the finale was the usual fanservice. Production quality was ok, but because it was not a DMD production, it was not as good as DMD could have made it. The audio editing was especially poor with many songs often mixed in one scene which does not make sense at all.

Thai's can't do comedy imho. Maybe I need to have a special humor to get it, but even with humor there is no story which could elevate this series. It's just a waste of time and there are more interesting things to watch.

Pointless

I was excited for a TutorYim show......and boy was I disappointed. This show had no real plot, no real comedy besides sex jokes, no good kiss scenes (and you had TUTORYIM!!). It was truly a show of nothing. Tutor and Yim are great actors who can pull off a sexy show or a comedic show - and somehow, this one missed the mark on both. I was immediately hesitant when I saw the show was by Copy A Bangkok and I was right to be skeptical. They tried to use sex to sell the show and it didn't work. Regardless of how much you like these actors, this one isn't worth it.

Erng (Yim) catches his boyfriend, who he runs a bar with, cheating on him. After confronting him and breaking up with him, Erng heads to a temple to pray for a new boyfriend. While there, he meets In (Tutor), and the two immediately hit it off. They become business partners in Erng's new bar, and fall in love while opening it.

I don't think I could even tell you what happens in this show, because it's basically nothing. Outside of a few things that happen with Erng's ex boyfriend, there is truly nothing that I can even remember from this show except the characters constantly being horny and making sex jokes. Sure, watching a comedy like this translated definitely doesn't help, but I cannot imagine it was very good even if you spoke Thai. It seems like the company was hoping that having TutorYim as their main actors would get enough people to watch that they could make money off it. While the characters could pull of sexual tension, after the scene it was back to a whole lot of NOTHING! I was so bored watching this show that I regularly would forget it was even on, and I'm not a person who does other things while shows are on. I stuck this one out because I constantly hoped it would get better and let me tell you, it does not. It started with way too much exposition thrown into the viewer's face in the first episode only to end up with nowhere to go with the characters. Some shows are so bad that they wrap back around and become unintentionally funny, but this one manages to sit at the horrendous intersection of bad and unfunny AND boring. Not worth it.

Its called "Absurdist Humor". So funny if you are witty enough to catch the jokes.

ChermChey relationship is the storyline.

It's about two crazy, weird, funny people meeting, getting to know each other, and falling in love.

ChermChey is absolutely hilarious. Just too funny.

If you are witty enough to catch the jokes.

It's a comedy, and nothing should be taken seriously.

The plot is absurd and unrealistic, on purpose.

Their banter makes no sense to anyone with common sense, but that is intentional.

are they able to have one conversation without mentioning sex

just jokes i love tutoryim with all my heart they’re like my gay uncles😳 i do think the writing is a bit messed up as they just leave some scenes for u to fill in the blanks which makes things a little confusing. i adore their dynamic though with yims character constantly needing validation and tutor always giving it to him🥺there are currently only 4 episodes released but im enjoying the series so far! tutor is the ultimate green flag who is also hot which is a bonus and yim is just so baby girl (when is he not though)

it's average

I like the actors in this series. I'm okay with most of the series. but if they're not going to show the whole NC scene please cut it all out why have them start for kissing them automatically change the scene that makes no sense that should be cut out too. but the other part of the show the actual story line is okay like how they are together without the cut and the kissing sayings that I make sense to me. better than that that chemistry is good and I would be rewatch it one time. I'm only watching it for the actors not the actual series for real I like them in their other series that they was in this one it's just okay

Could have been better!

What a let down this has been! I had hopes for it in the beginning but by episode 5 it just became stupid silly. They behaved like 8yr olds. Who writes this stuff? Not sure I will watch to the end but i reallylike these two actors together. They meshed really well & nice to look at😳 The storyline was weak & seemed to go nowhere & I was bored by the 3rd episode. The intimate scenes started off well but then very suddenly switched to another scene like them in the kitchen. They barely ever kissed. It was over before it started. If those scenes would have been better & longer then i dont think i woukd have been too bored😂 I woukd like to these two actors in another series but with a beter story & better intimate scenes❤️

As a novel reader, I am pretty satisfied with this adaptation!

⚠️ I am about to spoil the whole series so, if you haven’t watched it yet please do scroll to another review ⚠️

First thing first, I would like to thank everyone that’s involved in this series including all actors, producers, directors, and all teams behind the scenes!! It’s been a great months of me enjoying the series. My eyes are blessed with their COLOR GRADING!!! They’re very confident with it and YES they better be because that is one of the most outstanding traits of this show. But somehow, it’s truly a new type of show I guess, we are having this ‘daily life’ storyline where the leads are a bar owners who are kinda ‘unique’ to the point that they named the bar as “ChermChey”. Met during their heartbroken trip and end up being the lovers of their life 🥰

This big plot is pretty clear and neat. Now, we gotta move on to how’d that simple and clean plot turns into a 10 EP of a series?
1. The bar owner supposedly was Eung only (along with his ex), but as he got to know Intha, they decided to be a business partner whereas Intha invest and manage things financially (well, cleaning the bar after the closing is mandatory 😁😁 your man instruct you, you can’t refuse) while Eung manages the operation of the bar as in paying attention to everything regarding the business. - This plot went pretty quick, as they didn’t really show us much about the renovation and stuff… they mostly show us them buying groceries for restocking -
2. Intha move in to the bar actually needs a longer explanation (for someone who has trust issues… the pace for this part is too fast… 😁😁 but it’s nothing impossible) but this is the second details that supposedly need some attention
3. The relationship development of InthaEung for sure 🥰🥰🥰 them living their lives, rebuilding their bar that I’d call it as their love nest, problem solving, hyping their relationship and keeping it as strong as it can (I surely love this plot as they introduce me to their relationship dynamic. I’d say I have seen A LOT of ‘hyper and extra’ couple in novels but turning it into a live action show is another story and I think ChermChey did it pretty well tho -I personally haven’t really watched another series that bluntly show how ‘extra’ they are, mostly implicitly or letting audience’s imagination do the magic)
4. Well Bomb and Athen as the side couple was briefly presented in the series [yet if I didn’t read the novel I’d have no idea about the relationship of Eung, Nok, Bomb, and Athen]

Those four point alone was enough to make a 10 EP series… I do have some notes regarding several scenes tho:
- Athen ordering his boys to ruin Eung’s bar (we didn’t get the dialogue for this so… -just a mere phone call scene without a full convo- we just can guess)
- The inexistence background of Intha giving that bottle opener necklace to Eung makes it seems ‘ceremonial’… or to put it bluntly ‘out of nowhere’,,, if I didn’t read the novel I wouldn’t know the context -that’s for sure
- The flashback scene during Intha’s silence (I can feel the emotions in his expression but it didn’t match the montage)… I believe it would’ve been more ‘organized’ if there’s a fighting scene of Eung with the dudes that tries to ruin their store… (I understand that in terms of production this scene would’ve take a lot of time and money but, I believe this scene is necessary tho) - but as In said in the diary, he’s worried of Eung’s wellbeing… and I believe that ‘fight’ scene scene is definitely necessary!
- I wonder why didn’t we have a single hospital scene?? Bomb was hit by that wrench soo I believe he needs some stitches and changing Eung’s plot after the fire into a drunkard doesn’t really help cuz they still use the scene where Intha was reminding Eung to drink his medicine -where’d this come from?- (I believe either they rearrange the novel or there’s an issue during the filming process)
- I saw a comment asking why there’s a mermaid scene in this series (out of nowhere) I’d say it’s fair as they didn’t show us the context when Eung said that he dreamt about going to a beach for trip along with Intha (additional context… he get to wore a mermaid suit there, so Intha bought one for him and surprise him during their stay at In’s house)
- Hmm,,, that scene in the last ep about odd days and even days… they’re actually talking about taking turn washing dishes and cleaning up… we didn’t have that context in the series so it might be confusing
- And don’t even talk about that pink duvet… god know what made it need an immediate laundry… 🤭🤭

I love their acting, chemistry and all…but those plot needs a bit revision I believe^^
I’m not the type that’s obsessed in NC so I actually find it having a ‘proper amount’…

P.S. I seriously wanna know the interior of this bar as I really can’t picture the structure based on all the shots taken… Is there anyone that can illustrate it?
And I really can’t tell the difference between daytime and nighttime in some scenes…

These plot holes could be a good marketing way to buy the novel 😁😁😁

TutorYim’s Off-the-Charts Chemistry Wasted on a Plotless Mess

Tutor and Yim are a stunningly gorgeous pair, and because of them, I had massive expectations going into this. The first episode absolutely hooked me—the chemistry was there, the settings were beautiful, and the color grading was gorgeous. Unfortunately, it went downhill fast after that.
There is essentially no plot. If you asked me what this show is about, I couldn’t tell you other than "two people meet and run a restaurant together." While I liked the quirky, unserious vibe at first, it often crossed the line into cringe. The editing was incredibly jarring, cutting from one scene to another with zero flow.
The only saving grace was Tutor and Yim's off-the-charts chemistry, but even that was underutilized. The romance scenes felt short and underwhelming. I ended up skipping through almost every episode just to see their scenes—I was simultaneously interested in them and completely uninterested in the actual show. Watch it for the visuals, but keep your fast-forward button handy.

just for tutoryim

plot was thin, you need to squint to see it but i watched it for tutoryim, their banter was fun, i think the most exciting part was world crossovers and jimmyohm as a couple. i dont think i'll be rewatching it as a series but as snipets and separate episodes for fun. i dont have much to say about this drama, it was fun but i wanted to stop watching it few times , it gets boring when theres not much to the plot, for some it may be perfect lazy day or comfort series but for me a series that can't keep me on the toes is tiring.

No depth

TutorYim have excellent chemistry, and I've liked them as a pairing ever since Cutie Pie. I really think they deserve a series with a stronger storyline. Thankfully, their upcoming DMD projects already look much more interesting.

As for ChermChey, the story itself isn't something that completely pulls you in. It's mostly about In and Erng's domestic relationship, which is cute and heartwarming, though I found some moments a bit cringe. The cameos were fun and definitely added excitement, but they felt more like fan service than something that pushed the story forward.

I guess my expectations were just higher because ChermChey is set in the same circle as AiNhai and TonChon, both of which I genuinely enjoyed. In the end, it's a light and comforting watch, but I was hoping for a story with a little more depth.

Not much more to say than ok.

I fell in love with TutorYim in 2022 when Cutie Pie was airing and I didn't really feel like watching this while it was airing and saved it for later so here I am. I was so scared when I opened it and saw copy a Bangkok.... For people who don't know, copy a Bangkok often has extreme NC and sometimes no plot and just straight up p/rn. I hate that. It ruins many shows.Like Playboyy and Peach Lover tried to have a plot but... yeah. Honestly, I was immediately scared. Should I have been scared? Idk..

I normally like these type of drama's and one specific romance genre like starting a small shop or just in general a business. It starts messy but that's nice. The whole ex thing was done quite well but it was a little too early in the series to actually feel along, this is something I normally have and I'm not changing my rating on this. The whole business was a big mess. It seemed like the bar was far from ready to open and then all of the sudden everything was done while it felt like they never really worked on it.

About the NC, I'm not a big fan. Honestly, no hate to TutorYim but if they really wanted to add this much NC they should've used a different pair. TutorYim's boundaries seem to not like too much explicit content and I can 100% get that. But the NC felt like it was lacking. I don't watch series for the NC but this just caught me off guard. They keep talking and teasing each other about it but the actual thing is 1 kiss and then quickly a jump in the future. Some scene's didn't even feel like they did something because the skip was SO fast.

I hate to say it but there is too much romance. Like 0 drama and everything between Intha and Oeng seems to be going extremely well. I love how healthy they are but at some point it started to just bore me. It felt like that fire was added to make it a bit less boring but there was no fire damage at all and it was fixed immediate?? Also, the ex only came back like 6 times and even that wasn't serious.

Yim plays a characters I've not seen him previously do. He seems way more masculine and less 'shy' or his usual 'innocent' role. Holy shit I liked that extremely. Also I never noticed he has quite some muscle, it looks so good on him. I really hope he will get a similar role in the future. As for Tutor, he kinda had the same role as before. I was soooo surprised that they added Buddhism again and I'm so happy about it!! It really reminded me of cutie pie and it just made me happy.

Domundi is fucking peak lately and they just keep releasing more and more good series, to the point where everything is just better and I need to be honest, I switched from being a Gmmtv fan boy to a Domundi boy. The DWY refrences AND khemjira?! Yes this made me sooo happy. I loved seeing master Peem again and can't wait until the Khemjira special episodes. Do I suggest watching it? Meh. It just really has to be your type of series. I do see people hate on this more than I expected.
