ChermChey relationship is the storyline.It's about two crazy, weird, funny people meeting, getting to know each other, and falling in love.
ChermChey is absolutely hilarious. Just too funny.
If you are witty enough to catch the jokes.
It's a comedy, and nothing should be taken seriously.
The plot is absurd and unrealistic, on purpose.
Their banter makes no sense to anyone with common sense, but that is intentional.

Double Helix is just amazing on every level. The acting performances are oscar level. Really superb.The production quality is just has good has any high budget show. No flaws.
The writing and directing are masterclass level. Truly impressive.
China has changed the BL industry standards. Since 2024 Blue Canvas of Youthful Days the shows have steady improvied.
To the impressive quality of shows like: ABO Desire, Revenged Love, To My Shore, Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island
Currently Airing Double Helix and Journey with You are just adding to this amazing list of shows.
The only downside is my expectations are much higher now, which makes itvharder to watch mediocre shows with below average writiing and acting.

To much AI.
Ash is being ruined by low-quality AI scenes.The series has actors voicing over AI characters. That were I draw the line.
That is animation, not a real series with human actors.
AI and Human characters don't mix well.
AI use in the opening credits or background shots is tolerable, but AI characters replacing human actors is too much.

AI Flashbacks are ruining an otherwise good series.
Reasons why AI flashbacks are distracting1. They ruin the suspension of disbelief.
2. They ruin the vibe.
3. They look so childish.
4. They look cartoonish and comical, yet they are very violent scenes.
4. They break the immersion in the show.
5. They are jarring, causing my brain to do a reality check, which ruins the show,
6. Shows that use AI should have disclaimers, so viewers can decide to watch and be prepared if they choose to watch.
7. Using AI assumes that viewers like or don't mind animation, but that is a mistake; some viewers like me don't like animation and don't watch animated shows,
I like shows with real humans, which is what I am expecting to see, which is why I chose to watch this show, so seeing animated characters is very disappointing and not what I signed up for.
