Spooky in Love delivers a delightfully charming blend of supernatural mystery, crime, and sweet romance that relies heavily on a beautifully balanced lead dynamic. Park Eun-bin and Yang Se-jong show undeniable chemistry as Cheon Yeo-ri and Ma Gang-Uk, offering a natural, heartwarming relationship that strikes just the right romantic notes without feeling overdone. The contrast in their personalities drives the show’s best comedic and emotional beats: Yeo-ri’s fierce, independent, and fearless nature balances effortlessly against Gang-Uk's bubbly, devoted charm. Watching Gang-Uk slowly break through Yeo-ri’s deep isolation—a loneliness rooted in her touch-avoidance and cold family dynamics—makes his presence in her life feel genuinely comforting. The narrative weaves clever stakes into the plot, from the serious implications of Gang-Uk's heart condition linked to the "black monkey zodiac" lore to the poignant backstory of Min-hwan and Ji-hwan that reveals why Yeo-ri can see ghosts in the first place. While the middle stretch strays a bit too far from its supernatural roots—feeling slightly underwhelming for a show with "Spooky" in the title—the final arc recovers brilliantly by tying the ghost mystery directly to Ji-hwan's sacrifice. With solid performances and a fun fusion of crime and rom-com elements, it stands as an engaging, highly enjoyable drama.

A great potential wasted ...

this drama started strong then lost its potential, honestly, I can't exactly tell where it went wrong but what stood out to me that the writer didn't really focus on one aspect of the story and kept building around it so everything fell flat .
the stories of the ghosts really didn't have any depth , I don't remember anyone of them nor did it touch me in any way, maybe because it was rushed .

the antagonist story was extremely rushed and built on a weak excuse " a misunderstanding " , actually till the very end I didn't hate him even after all he had done , as I never got attached to the story that much , not to mention the little screen time he had .

maybe what made this drama lose its potential is that it tried to tackle many aspects and ideas all at once.

Unexpectedly a good series!

I was curious about this series and if it's good or not. But its unexpectedly really good series and i enjoyed watching every episode and then i was hooked. It made me laughed , jumpy and startled
at the same time. I've enjoyed watching this series from beginning to end. Minhwan i feel bad for him because the clan didn't love him because he was adopted. The only person who love him is his adopted mother and Jinhwan. Deep inside the anger, hatred, jealousy keep building up. That's why he did what he did. They both love the same girl but his jealousy and animosity towards jihwan is build up towards that day that he had enough.
I just want to say all the cast did a fantastic job in this series.

Not as engaging as expected.

I love Park Eun Bin! And I was pleasantly surprised how much of a good, talented actor Yang Se Jong actually is !

And coming from a moderate intertest in anything "spooky", not necessarily horror. I thought this show would perfectly fit my taste ! And seeing Park Eun Bin in it would be even better ! But honestly, it's nowhere near as engaging as I expected it would. It was more of a tame romantic drama comedy that happens to have some paranormal elements around it. Nothing really enticing, or suspenseful. Just two people who end up closer together that happen to have a ghost or two around them.

Too bad, could've been even better in my opinion.

A Rom-Com With Just the Right Amount of Spooky

I genuinely had such a good time watching Spooky in Love. It’s a really fun rom-com with a little hint of spooky mixed in, and honestly, that combination worked really well for me.

The chemistry between the main leads was really good. Even without the drama constantly pushing romance in your face, their interactions felt natural and enjoyable to watch. I liked the way their relationship developed, and they had a really comfortable dynamic that made their scenes fun.

What I especially loved was how easy and stress-free this drama felt to watch. There wasn't that constant feeling of waiting for some huge misunderstanding or unnecessary drama to ruin everything. I could just sit back, enjoy the story, laugh at the characters, and actually have fun watching an episode.

And some scenes were SO funny omg. There were moments where I was genuinely laughing at how ridiculous things got. The fact that even the ghosts were getting scared made it even funnier. The spooky elements didn't make the drama feel heavy—they actually added another layer of comedy to it.

Overall, Spooky in Love was just a really enjoyable rom-com with a fun supernatural twist. It made me laugh, the leads had good chemistry, and most importantly, it was never exhausting to watch. Sometimes you just want a drama that lets you relax and have a good time, and this one definitely gave me that.

I am excited for this new Kdrama

I don't care if people will not agree with me. I am not a professional kdrama watcher. I just choose what I watch. But I soooo love this Spooky in Love. Great acting from both ML and FL. As well as the support cast.
It will make you laugh, amazed, get scared and be excited for the love that is brewing. I like both actors playing in the lead, very likeable and as I have said very great actors.
It gets more exciting as the episodes unfold. Fingers crossed--- I oray it will deliver til the last episode.

Then comes our Male Lead who is winning over them now they will get engaged both are not expressing but they have feelings SML lead is also caring and everything but I think there is some thing suspicious

Great leads &Enjoyable with classic drama vibes

This really gives off classic /retro drama vibes in all the best ways. The smiles the leads share will cause you to unconsciously smile as well as it's stuffed with warm fuzzies & concludes with a happy ending.
It reminded me a bit of the dramas : The Master's sun & the 2011 Spellbound ,(but it's better than either. )
This is a very satisfying drama where the leads have each other's back; she saves him, he saves her. She fights off bad guy & so does he. It's refreshing to see a drama where the leads have team work! Also , some might find the male lead to be less attractive ("pretty') than the second male lead...but that is yet another mark in this drama's favor, as they give you a male lead who is so much more than just a face. This drama really gives off classic /retro drama vibes in all the best ways. 2 good leads (good characters) that are both likeable. I'm so happy that they let the male lead be good at things instead of just being a romantic sidekick. There are a good many nice kisses and the leads don't really "waffle" about in thier relationship -they are sure about what they want & willing to be a bit selfish which shows thier sincerity & commitment.
Ghosts are Not my fav genre , so it's ironic that I am going to complain that ghosts really don't show up much in 1/2 the episodes.

It did not get a perfect score from me because:
1) creepy ghost stuff
2) Female lead goes solo a few times when it makes no sense to leave the male lead out.
3) the last 1/2 of the last episode was disappointing as they concluded alot of plot issues, but lost momentum by not segueing right into a logical (traditional happy) ending. Instead ,they give us a time skip, side character's needlessly getting screen time & a rather bland & underwhelming (albeit sweet) ending for the leads.

Still, I'd watch it again

Final thoughts:

I don't like when characters make choices for other people without permission or consultation

It almost avoids the worst tropes but then at the last minute they throw in a "noble sacrifice" as well as "break up to make up" , " car accidents" &"Coma". They caught me off guard by clumping them all together!

There is some product placement near the end of the series
There is a bit of a Singapore travel pitch
That a guy is killed by a very small clay pot, was ridiculous.
the female lead's cousin is scary thin
Why didn't the one guy who got killed (& knew the female lead) go to her as a ghost as soon as he died!?
Too many songs in English
There was a push for the engagement & for them to get married, but apparently they put off or called off the wedding & a year after the story ends there is an epilogue and they STILL aren't' married

Perfectly Spooky Romance — Hindi Dubbed Gem of 2026

Spooky in Love is a delightful blend of romance and
supernatural elements that keeps you completely hooked
from the very first episode. The chemistry between the
leads is absolutely electric and the spooky elements
add a fresh and unique twist to the usual romance formula.

The writing is sharp and the pacing is perfect — never
too slow and never too rushed. Each episode ends making
you desperate for the next one which is the sign of
truly great drama writing.

This drama is available in Hindi dubbed format for
Indian and Pakistani audiences and the dubbing quality
is very good. Makes it very accessible for viewers who
prefer watching in Hindi.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves romantic Korean
dramas with a supernatural twist. One of the most
enjoyable watches of 2026 without any doubt.

Spooky in Love was such a beautiful and wholesome K-Drama! ??

From the very beginning until the end, this drama was simply a joy to watch. It perfectly combined romance, suspense, and mystery, with several murder cases keeping things exciting and a beautifully constructed storyline from the past that slowly unfolded throughout the drama. I especially loved how everything came together and how interesting the past storyline was!

The romance was absolutely adorable and the chemistry between the main leads was just beautiful. 🥹 He was such a Golden Retriever character and honestly just the sweetest! Their relationship gave me all the wholesome and comforting vibes, making this such a perfect feel-good drama.

The suspenseful parts were also really well done, and I genuinely enjoyed following the different cases and uncovering what happened in the past. And can we talk about the OST? It was SO good and fit the drama perfectly! 🎶

Overall, Spooky in Love was a beautiful, heartwarming and exciting K-Drama that I enjoyed from beginning to end. Definitely one of those dramas that just leaves you with a warm and happy feeling. 🤍✨

Fine, Not Fantastic

Spooky In Love is like an everyday meal. Simple. It's not a lavish spread of a 7 course meal.

The show has a simple premise. FL (Cheon Yeo Ri) can see ghosts, whom she helps move on by uncovering their killers. She belongs to the 1%, while ML (Ma Gang Uk) is a fiery public prosecutor, more of a “salt of the earth” person. Spooky In Love is their journey through love, spooks, and succession drama.

To be honest, I went in expecting something like The Master's Sun. My expectations weren't met, but that doesn't mean I was disappointed. I enjoyed the show, and yet it will never be a favourite.

What I liked: ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

Characters and Performances:
I'm a Park Eun Bin fan, and she has never disappointed me. Even here, I enjoyed her spooky encounters. She’s a queen of micro expressions. Her ghostly encounters and the walls she kept around herself, were beautifully done.

I simply loved Yang Se Jong's public prosecutor. His energy matched the principled, fiery, mad in love character perfectly. I haven't watched his Doona. The last time I remember seeing him was in Still 17, and he's come a long way from there. Ma Gang Uk was the one I looked forward to in every scene.

Everybody else did a good job too.

Romance: It's a gentle romance. Read that as not a blazing chemistry. Adjust your expectations and you'll enjoy it. It didn't have me kicking my feet under the blankets, but it did have me smiling at my screen.

Ghosts: What can I say.. I'm all for the spooks. ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

ML's team: Fun and sweet.

What felt a bit meh: ┐( ˘_˘)┌

The forced connection between Gang Uk and Ji Hwan. The whole heart transplant track came out of nowhere and had no real impact on the story. Unnecessary add-on.

Yeo Ri's Chaebolness:

For some reason, I had a hard time seeing her as a third generation chaebol heiress. Part of it was her wardrobe. It didn't shout class to me. Part of it was the lack of a certain snootiness from her. Her Yeo Ri didn't have the attitude you'd expect from a CEO born with a silver spoon. I don't mean a hateful attitude, but the one that comes with the station she must have occupied from birth.

I had the same problem with Ong Seong Wu's Kang Min Hwan. It was hard to see him as a ruthless CEO. He looked more like a Manager than a CEO, and his angst didn't invoke much sympathy from me. Not saying he did a bad job, but he didn't stand out.

Ha Ri and her brother: her character was simply a foil for Yeo Ri, with no purpose beyond smirking and dropping mean girl comments. The two of them felt like filler. Their mother alone would have made a stronger antagonist.

Too much chaebol drama that didn't even feel high stakes, topped off with in-your-face promotion of Singapore tourism that felt very tacky. Damn Netflix.

Overall,

It's not a bad drama. It could have been better. Watch it as low stakes, lazy weekend entertainment without high expectations, and you'll be fine.
