A classic that might not age well for some
high rating is probably unjustified, but it was One of the first 3 dramas I ever watched. It made me fall in love with the genre. Time may not be kind to this drama as the clothes ARE going to be outdated, as are the many tropes & sensibilities. The tsundere male being demanding & over bearing while being a (Jane Austen's) Mr. Darcy type in many ways; I found it fun & didn't care about the possible masculine toxicity because it just doesn't bother me.I wasn't thrilled about the parental drama or the soul/body switching, but I over looked it as they didn't delve too far into the ramifications. Has a Happy ending.

I watched this drama because of the Strong Female Lead tag and my review and ratings are a result of that disappointment! I guess whoever tagged this as strong FL did it only because that character could do good physical stunts because otherwise it should have been tagged as the really weak FL! The FL was a totally emotionally desperate character with very little sense of self respect! I kept watching it hoping that she would take a real stand against the ML at least one time but no, other than her outwardly tough appearance, she was a really easy pushover type character!
And that's what made me really frustrated because the character had so much potential but the makers just wanted to show an obedient and overly sensitive good little girl type FL masquerading as a really badass stunt person outwardly... Very Disappointed...

At times I thought this drama was fantastic at others I was like WHAT IS GOING ON! Although I did enjoy this drama I felt that the storyline was a little too all over the place for my taste.
I loved the main couple though, the were too cute for words even with all of their fighting. and Oska *sigh* amazing.
I did enjoy the acting of Ha Ji Won who has now become one of my favorite actresses and Hyun Bin's performance was to die for, several times I wanted to switch places with Jiwon haha.
Although not my favorite, this drama holds a special place in my heart.
I recommend this to anyone! Happy Watching :)

His portrayal when they switched bodies is very amusing. Loved the story, acting, everything was great Ha Ji Won is great also. Her male portrayal was great.
Another drama where I wanted to reach into the screen and slap someone, his mother. Loved Lee Phillip, especially his English.
I've watched this one again also. Loved the OST especially 4MEN's 'Reason'
Another favorite of mine, also worth more than a 10.

The jokes were good they had me chuckling and even laughing @ times. The story was great the acting good, but it fell down along the way. Ok this is it low-HIGH-low-HIGH, they could not maintain the excellent work which i saw @ times. It took me a good while to finish this drama due to the low points (i don`t like skipping scenes). i started this drama and stop @ episode 2 went to watch something else then came back. I watched again till about episode 12-14 and fell asleep, but fought it thru the low points and made it to the end.
All in all i still recommend this drama for its still a very good story so i gave it a 9 and i actually thought of giving it a 10, but the ending was too cliche for me too perfect and i`m one for reality love and not story book ones. i`m sorry mardne n jody i`m not all that excited but i did enjoy this drama thanks for the recommendation.

The best acting was [obviously] Hyun Bin's acting. I must say, at first I was taken away by Ga In's acting-- until I saw King to Heart. Hyun Bin is one of those actors that performs with such a presence, that forces his co-lead to respond so effectively. Overall, I Hyun Bin's acting was what made Ji won's acting good. I guess Im saying that Hyun Bin's acting was more diverse, compared to Ji won's. I mean her char. was mighty cool, trust me.. who doesnt want a kick ass pretty girl? You read this in manga, but how often do we really get to see it in live-action? I mean when you think about it, He had the more difficult part... at times I was cracking up how girly-feminine he could sound.

Well, Secret Garden was the very first drama I've watched properly and I'm sort of nostalgic-biased towards it so I'm gonna try to be as objective as I can.
The story isn't something that new or epic, there are moments where you feel like they're being rehashed over and over again but what make the series truly memorable is :
a) the music. We all know that a good OST and a good music score can propel a series from good to great and this is exactly the case for SG, and even some more.
Every single piece of music on the series, from the iconic "That Woman", to the piano BGM pieces are absolutely fantastic. It's just a marvelous OST, simple as that.
b) HJW & HB's acting on their switch personalities mode.
c) Oska.
So yeah, SG might be deemed overrated by some and, they might have a point in the sense that the series didn't bring something water mouthing on the table to warrant all the hype and the ratings, but it's still a good series- with great acting, superb music and a few touching moments that will definitely stay with you.

Too many tropes
Secret Garden was a bit of a marathon to get through. It felt like they threw in every K-drama trope imaginable: the classic poor girl-rich guy dynamic, the naive girl paired with the arrogant guy, and of course, the inevitable memory loss. It was a lot to take in!While some moments were charming, the overuse of these clichés made it feel predictable and dragged out. It had its entertaining parts, but overall, it was a lot to take in!
