Nour Episode 2 Reactions
This ep literally left me with so many questions (pretty sure we'll get answers later though)!!... James seeing a bit of Ken's color instead of just grayscale, HOW?? 😭 Was it the blood or did Ken lower his defenses?? Also hinting that people can be converted into Nours and new ones can't control their hunger... this show is getting better and better every week fr 🤯

the irony in that kiss - guess the glazed look is Ken basically starving himself & the reason he sucked James's thumb, let alone his lip was cause of the blood on the. & anyone not knowing what Ken is would get the wrong idea & kiss him back. cause even though we have heard of the Nour having blue eyes & fangs - none of those signs popped-up when Ken tasted blood. ***********
there r a lot of questions left open from the previous ep & i really hope we start getting answers before more question pop-up... as in this ep it seemed like the guy the mains ere after at the end was newly turned Nour... if so who turned him?!?? ********
but fun ep all in all - like The Odd Couple vibe between the mains - butting heads & yet cause they so different they kinda fit - cute all in all. but i don't get the 2nd couple at all - Jirat arrange a job that i don't think Chita (as much as i like & feel for) has the qualification for... but i guess what Jirat wants he gets?!? or this just to force the two together so something can come of it?? meeh... more curios about what Ken meant when he told Jirat there things he can't tell Chita... as in Jirat is in on something only the two know - what?!?

The first two episodes immediately establish NOUR as something more than a conventional BL series. Its mysterious arson cases, supernatural elements, and dark atmosphere create a genuine crime-fantasy story, while the relationship between James and Ken develops naturally within the investigation.James is bold, persistent, and wonderfully unpredictable. Boss Patthakarn is a newcomer, but his slightly unpolished freshness suits the character perfectly. Opposite him, Tongtong Kitsakorn brings calmness and experience to the enigmatic Ken. Their contrasting energies make the pairing especially appealing: James keeps pushing forward, while Ken reveals almost nothing.The series comes from the team behind Top Form, and that quality can already be seen in its cinematography and careful storytelling. Even the quiet scenes—such as James teaching Ken how to use a smartphone—carry an unexpected warmth.After only two episodes, the mystery has completely captured my attention. This looks like a series worth paying to watch.

Smartphones have been around for more than fifteen years, so how could Ken not have learned to use them by now? 🤨 And whoa, the final scene! I didn't expect to see them kissing already. And for someone who mostly watches C-dramas only, this felt like A LOT. Chinese censorship wouldn't allow any of that chmok chmok I heard and tongue-locking I saw. 🫣🤭But about Tee... Was he in some kind of berserk mode, with his eyes changing colour and the skin around them turning red? Could that be a genetic thing, or did someone infect him? 🤔And at least one of my theories turned out to be right — James wants to investigate the case because his father died in a fire, and they never caught the person responsible. Now I need to figure out if I understood it correctly and Ken is a Nour, not someone who needs to find one to be able to die. 😅

Wait so why is he killing all these people? Or i mean is it him? Like im so lost. Also get the fuck out of the house, daddy dead. Him not knowing how to use a phone was a good detail. It would be 12:35 pm not am…lmaoo that’s what you get for fondling him. Why did we strip these random kids down in a storage locker, bro? THATS WHY HE WAS TYPING ON THE COMPUTER WEIRD. Im like why are we so close to the computer screen typing like a moron? Red-haired beauty over here. I need lore with his leg desperately. His head was all rainbow like the guy who killed his dad. Kiss hello. ALSO LOCK IN HIS HEAD WAS RAINBOW DUMB BITCH. I also don’t know why he cant see his thing, lkke I wanna know. I will see yall when I wake up, I do like this show a lot though. Its very fun. Okay bye!

This episode is finally giving us some context about our two leads. Unfortunately, it’s failing pretty hard in that respect. As I mentioned in my Episode 1 review, stories like this are difficult to write because once you establish immortality, medicine, police investigations and a specific timeline, consistency and accuracy become extremely important.
The Qualified Medical Examiner scenes immediately raised questions for me. I’m not sure what the qualifications of the assistant are supposed to be, but the handling of the cadaver felt wrong. In forensic examination, the body is both a source of evidence and something that must be treated with considerable procedural control. I hope what we’re seeing is simply poor writing and not an accurate representation of Thai police procedures.
I’m also struggling to understand the relationship between our two leads. Some of the comedic scenes feel completely out of place with the darker mystery that the series has established. So what exactly are we watching—a rom-com or a rom-mystery? There is a way to balance romance, humor and suspense, but the tonal shifts here aren’t quite working for me. Manner of Death and Spare Me Your Mercy understood how to sustain that tense romantic chemistry without breaking the atmosphere of the mystery.
And then there’s our 200-plus-year-old immortal.
This man has lived through two centuries, is apparently a doctor with two degrees, and is living in 2026 yet he doesn’t know what a smartphone is? Seriously? What exactly has he been doing all these years besides discovering 200+ different ways to try to kill himself?
At this point, I’m still intrigued by the premise. But the more the story explains, the more I’m beginning to question whether the writers have thought through the details as carefully as they’ve imagined the concept.
And then another inconsistency during the chase: Dr. Ken suddenly pulls a gun and starts shooting at a suspect who doesn’t even appear to have a gun. James is also the one who was left way behind during the chase, despite being the younger and presumably more athletic of the two.
But then we get the kiss. And I’m sitting there thinking, Golden…but…what triggered that? Attraction? Emotion? Recognition? Some revelation between them? A vision but give me something.
It’s called context.
You can surprise the audience without confusing them. You can withhold information without withholding the logic behind a character’s actions. Right now, NOUR keeps giving me moments that are interesting individually, but I’m struggling to see how they connect organically.
And that’s becoming my biggest concern halfway through Episode 2: I’m not asking the writers to tell me everything. I’m asking them to make what they are showing me make sense.

The Kissing, and OMG, they really did not waste any time! 😂 The tension between Ken and James was already intense, but that kiss took everything to another level. The chemistry, eye contact and the way they kept challenging each other made their scenes so addictive to watch. We also got more clues about the mysterious case and the supernatural elements, but honestly, I was too busy screaming over that kiss! 🔥 After two episodes, I am officially invested in both the mystery and these two chaotic men.
