- Classic Thai films which were really grossing during its release.

- In Both, Fan Chan (2003) and the first part of The Love of Siam (2007), it is depicted a pair of kids who live next door and are childhood friends. We learn about their innocent relationship and their (temporal) separation.

- Music has a strong presence in both films. In TLOS, a character is a musician and likes composing songs to share his feelings, and in Fan Chan, Thai 80s music makes the adult protagonist come back to his childhood and remember his first love.

Innocent BL without explicit content

Both feature adolescent boys falling in love, family life, of "normal" families.

Excellent work from all the young actors.

Both share the a very similar sub-plot of a father who is deeply effected by the loss of his daughter that he neglects his family as he mourns. In both cases, each father finds closure on her return. A Doppelgänger in one and a her spirit in the other.

Similarities are that two boys are neighbors then they get seperated somehow. They reunite and love blossoms from there on.

Both are sooo similar! You will like this one for sure :) It's natural, the vibes are realistic and the acting is good. The love was sweet and I really like the song lyrics of the written songs <3

Dir. Ma-Dew of The Love of Siam and Home fame reprises his cinematic magic in Dew (Let’s Go Together). The flick is a sentimental and romantic drama about two young boys set in a not-so-friendly times for people of ‘their nature’.
The film which runs more than 2 hours, stars Ohm Pawat in the title role and Nont Sadanont Durongkhaweroj as Pob.

There are several themes or issues that the movie tackles and it succeeds in most of them. Among the most relevant are:
1. Depicting a difficult times for homosexuals in Thailand during the late 1990s.
2. A strong father figure and independent mother
3. Dew and Pob exhibit certain “gayness” in their behavior but in unique ways
4. The graphics used in a few scenes were from Gary Priester who designed them
5. Reincarnation

School boys in blue shorts fighting the good fight to survive high school, family, friends and stay true to themselves.

LoS has more family dynamics.

LS:TS has more friendship/love dynamics.

In both, apart from depicting gay puppy love, one of the male leads is the singer of a high school band and, therefore, music -and their countless OSTs- is a key point element through the whole story.

Both are coming of age movies that see conflict that arises over christian mothers who try to put stop to the gay relationship and leave the ending of their relationship open ended

The plot is really similar, hiring a girl to pretend to be sibling.

In my girl also the two guys are friends.
One of the guy is a playboy.
