Accidental Kisses in Dramaland
Well, who isn’t starving for kisses in romance dramas? We all want to see them and they are an essential part in dramas. Some MDL articles already talked about steamy kisses (Top 10 Dramas With the Best Kisses), missed ones (Missed Kisses) or just the different kinds of kisses including the “Brick Wall” kiss (Valentine’s Day Special: KDrama Kisses). Today, I’ll show you some examples of Accidental Kisses in Dramaland.
Falling Kiss
I bet all of you have seen a “falling kiss” at least once in Dramaland. These are the most common accidental kisses. It includes two people bumping into each other, one trying to keep the other from tripping but ending up falling as well or just someone slipping and landing on top of someone else. This version of an accidental kiss is not considered as one of the most romantic kisses. Side effect: injuries (not necessarily only lip injuries).
Example #1: Flower Boy Next Door
While being on a trip with Enrique (Yoon Shi Yoon), Dok Mi (Park Shin Hye) is alone in a room when suddenly the light starts to flicker. She gets scared and starts screaming. Enrique, who is staying outside in a car, wakes up because of Dok Mi’s scream and sprints knightly to the dark room for Dok Mi’s rescue. He rushes into the room and our scared girl just happens to be right behind the door. They bump into each other and fall down. Not so knightly. Enrique is landing on top of Dok Mi and they end up kissing. Whoops!
Example #2: You’re Beautiful
The night before, Mi Nyeo (Park Shin Hye) had fallen off a bench and the members of the idol group A.N.JELL had tried to break her fall. She remembers that she had landed on top of one of them in the act of rescue and their lips met. She’s trying to find out who the unlucky (literally!) boy was. She’s being told that it was Hwang Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk) and she didn’t just kiss him, but vomited. Into. His. Mouth. Well, if that’s not an accidental kiss you surely remember for the rest of your life!

It’s from a movie, not a drama, but I want to show you this one as well, because it’s executed so hilariously funny.

Bus Kiss
If you just get close to somebody’s face while taking the bus (even better: the other party is asleep), there’s a high possibility you’ll get the accidental kiss you wanted (or not), at least in Dramaland. Likely to happen in other shaking transportation vehicles or shaking places as well.
Example: Missing You
Jung Woo (Yeo Jin Goo) and Soo Yeon (Kim So Hyun) take the bus together and Soo Yeon drops off. Jung Woo is teasing her (while she’s still asleep) and gets closer to his friend’s face but without any ulterior motives. Wiggle, wobble, waggle. You know what happens, they kiss. It’s soooo cute and his reaction afterwards is really adorable.
Karate Kiss
I suggest, do some sports, preferably martial arts or sports with skinship. You might suffer a lot of injuries, but hey! Maybe you’ll be rewarded with a kiss some day.
Example: Momo Love
During a match Tao Hua (Wang Cyndi) and Shi Lang (Wang Jiro) grab onto each other and pull themselves closer. Too close for Shi Lang, I guess, because he loses his focus and Tao Hua takes the chance to drag him down and… *smack*

Ass Shove Kiss
Sometimes it doesn’t take much for two people to kiss. Your lips are already close to each other? Here the ass shove comes into play. (Maybe just ask a friend to help you out beforehand, so it seems like an accidental kiss when it was schemed, actually.)
Example: Atashinchi no Danshi
Sho (Mukai Osamu) and Chisato (Horikita Maki) both try to break a friend’s fall at the same time, their faces end up being very close. The only thing missing is an ass shove to make them kiss.

Special: Accidental Kisses – Male x Male Version
Usually you have man and woman (sometimes in disguise as a guy) kissing in dramas, but we know that accidental kisses are not planned and can happen to anyone. So, here are some examples only between guys.
Example #1: Secret Garden
Oska (Yoon Sang Hyun) has Joo Woon (Hyun Bin) in a headlock and as revenge, Joo Woon starts tickling Oska to get him to let go. That's why the singer loses his balance and stumbles forwards with his lips landing right on Joo Woon's lips. Well, physically it's Joo Woon's lips, but Ra Im's spirit is stuck in his body at this very moment. Okay, so somehow it doesn't count as male x male kiss, but just don't THINK about it just LOOK at it. ;)
Example #2: Hana Kimi (Japanese version, 2007)
Sano (Oguri Shun) is known for being a kissing machine when getting drunk and while having a small party with other students, he leans over to kiss Mizuki (Horikita Maki), but Nakatsu (Ikuta Toma) prevents him by offering his own lips. And everyone’s clapping afterwards. lol
