A Stalker's Guide to Kim Mi Kyung
Kim Mi Kyung is a South Korean actress born on 14th of October 1963. She is my favorite actress because every role she accepts is different from her previous ones. She isn't afraid to experiment and in my opinion, that's what makes an actor into a great actor.
She is the greatest Ahjumma and you can actually see her everywhere - playing a housemaid, nurse, hacker ahjumma, etc.
She's also received an 'Special Award, Actress in a Miniseries' for her role in The Master's Sun in 2013.
You can follow her on Instagram.
Kim Mi Kyung is very elegant and beautiful.
She has a great sense of humor.
And is really hardworking.
She's really crazy and adventurous. She's really caring and even Park Shin Hye kept calling her "Mom" during filming The Heirs.
Also loves animals so much.
Kim Mi Kyung is the queen of supporting roles, who’s known for making dramatic shifts between roles. Here are some of my favorites:
Healer as Jo Min Ja (Hacker Ahjumma)
I started with my favorite role of the crazy Ahjumma. She plays a very skilled hacker working for Healer. Although they've never actually met in person, she’s his only friend. In the drama, you not only see her 'hacking' but also singing, dancing, knitting and making kimbap. Ahjumma is a genius and I’m sure she can take over the world if she wants.
The Heirs as Park Hee Nam (Cha Eun Sang's mother)
She plays a hardworking housekeeper at Kim Tan’s house and lives in a small room with her daughter. Personally, I love this role because her character is mute. The way she communicates with everyone through little notes and sign language is very interesting. She’s the strongest mother, everything to make her children happy.
The Master's Sun as Joong Won's aunt Faith as Choi Yeong's aunt
Sungkyunkwan Scandal as Kim Yoon Hee's mother
As you can see, Kim Mi Kyung is incredible. Check out the rest of her roles here. You'll probably be shocked at how many of your favorite dramas she's played in.
Basically, everybody loves her and appreciates her work. Which of her roles do you like the most?
