The domestic network of Captivating the King, tvN, has decided on a special four-episode broadcast schedule over the Lunar New Year (a holiday and celebration for the first day of the Korean Lunar Calendar). The four episodes will be broadcast over the weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

On February 7, tvN announced, "To celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday, we have organized an unconventional broadcast schedule of airing four episodes from February 7-10, consecutively on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday."

Captivating the King tells the story of King Lee In, embroiled in the peril of royal and political conflicts, and Kang Hee Soo, a spy who tries to deceive the king to get revenge.

The K-drama stars Jo Jung Suk (Hospital PlaylistHit-and-Run Squad), Shin Sae Kyeong (Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun), and Lee Shin Young (Dr. Romantic Season 3Crash Landing on You), among others. 

Captivating the King commenced scoring nationwide ratings of 3.97% (episode 1) and 3.08% (episode 2). The K-drama scored 6.01% for episode 4, which remains its highest of all time. But for episode 5, the K-drama dropped to 3.86%. Whereas, episode 6 saw decent improvement and scored 5.46%. 

Episode 7 of Captivating the King airs on Friday (February 9), episode 8 on Saturday (February 10), followed by episodes 9 and 10 on Sunday (February 11).
