Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Rising actor Choi Hyun Wook is in discussion to star in the upcoming K-drama "D.P. Season 2."
On January 10, media outlet Sports Trend revealed that Choi Hyun Wook will be the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming new season of "D.P."
According to the reports, Choi Hyun Wook will be joining the K-drama because of his deep relationship with director Han Jun Hee. The two have worked together in the hit Wavve original series "Weak Hero Class 1" wherein director Han Jun Hee participated in the series as part of the creation team.
Choi Hyun Wook made his acting debut in 2019. Last year, he rose to fame after starring in the hit tvN K-drama "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" followed by his great performance in "Weak Hero Class 1."
There is no official confirmation yet from the side of Choi Hyun Wook if he will officially join "D.P. Season 2."
Choi Hyun Wook will also join the second season of "Weak Hero Class 2" with Park Ji Hoon and Hong Kyung. He will also lead the upcoming K-drama "Hi Cookie" with Nam Ji Hyun, Jung Da Bin, and Kim Mu Yeol.
"D.P. Season 2" will continue to showcase the journey of Ahn Jun Ho and Han Ho Yul, the current deserter pursuits (D.P.). Their journey will reveal their chase of soldiers who try to run away from service. The K-drama is adapted from the popular webtoon of the same name by Kim Bo Tong.
In the upcoming second season, Choi Hyun Wook will reportedly play the role of Shin Ah Hui. Aside from the name of his character, no other details have been confirmed yet.
The upcoming series will be led by Koo Kyo Hwan, Kim Sung Kyun, Son Seok Koo, and the new cast additions Ji Jin Hee, and Kim Ji Hyun.
"D.P. Season 2" is the collaboration work of director Han Jun Hee and writer Kim Bo Tong.
The upcoming K-drama is currently in the middle of filming and post-production. The series is expected to premiere this year.
