Choi Woo Shik to Reunite with "Our Beloved Summer" Writer for a new K-drama

After two years, Choi Woo Shik will reportedly work with Our Beloved Summer writer once again. 

On October 11, media outlet Star News shared that Choi Woo Shik is positively considering leading a new K-drama titled Melo Movie. The report also stated that the new K-drama will be penned by Lee Na Eun, the same writer of the K-dramas Our Beloved Summer, Failing in Love, and Secret Crushes: Special Edition.

According to reports, the upcoming K-drama Melo Movie will be a heartwarming melodrama just like its title. Choi Woo Shik wishes to lead the drama by focusing on both romance and comedy as the male lead.

If Choi Woo Shik officially confirms his casting, this will be his reunion with writer Lee Na Eun after two years. The two worked together in the romance K-drama Our Beloved Summer with other casts Kim Da Mi, Kim Sung Cheol, Roh Jeong Eui, Ahn Dong Goo, and Park Jin Joo. Many loved the chemistry of Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi. They also praised Choi Woo Shik for doing well in the romantic comedy genre.

Anticipation arises on the possibility of a second collaboration between Choi Woo Shik and Our Beloved Summer writer.

If Choi Woo Shik decides to join Melo Movie, this will be his second upcoming K-drama. The actor is also expected to lead the 2024 series Murder DIEary with Son Suk Ku, Lee Hee Joon, Kim Yo Han, Hyun Bong Sik, and Jeon Hyun Sook.

Choi Woo Shik will also return to the big screen with the upcoming movie Wonderland. He will work alongside top stars Bae Suzy, Park Bo Gum, Jung Yu Mi, Tang Wei, and Nina Paw.
