The K-movie Citizen of a Kind, directed by Park Young Ju, has confirmed its release slot for January 2024.

Citizen of a Kind is an investigative drama movie that tells the story of Deok Hee (Ra Mi Ran), an ordinary citizen who falls victim to voice phishing and then receives a rescue request from a member of the scam organization Jae Min. 

The cast includes both veteran and young actors such as Ra Mi Ran, Gong MyungYeom Hye RanPark Byung EunJang Yoon JuLee Moo Saeng, and Ahn Eun Jin, among others. 

In this upcoming K-movie, Ra Mi Ran plays Deok Hee, an ordinary citizen who loses all her money as a result of one phone call.

Deok Hee, a hardworking commoner, gets caught in the trap of voice phishing while looking for loan options after her laundromat is destroyed in a fire.

Gong Myung plays Jae Min, a voice phishing organization member who offers fake loan products to Deok Hee. Jae Min, also known as Son Dae Ri, exploites young people through high-paying part-time jobs. The story unfolds as Jae Min secretly sends a rescue signal to Deok Hee.

The team supporting Deok Hee's seemingly reckless investigation, the so-called Deokvengers, includes Bong Rim (Yeom Hye Ran), Sook Ja (Jang Yoon Ju), and Ae Rim (Ahn Eun Jin).

Bong Rim is Deok Hee's colleague with outstanding Chinese language skills, Sook Ja is a worker at the laundromat who always carries a high-end DSLR camera, and Ae Rim is Bong Rim's close friend and a local taxi driver in Qingdao, known for her knowledge of the area.

Additionally, the police detective in charge of Deok Hee's case, Detective Park, is played by Park Byeong Eun. Lee Moo Saeng plays the mastermind controlling the voice phishing organization that drives billions of won.

Citizen of a Kind will be released in January 2024. The release date is yet to be announced.
