Currently Watching: What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?

This is my first time writing an article so please ignore the inaccuracies... whoa, that's a fancy word!

OMG, where do I even start? I wasn't the only one hyped about this drama, was I? I wanted to write an article about this even before the drama was released. I was literally jumping in my bed when the first episode first came out!

You put Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon together in a drama and BANG! You get a drama you won't regret watching, and also, the fact that it has been adapted from a webtoon which was adapted from a novel. Here are some reasons why you should watch this drama RIGHT NOW! Like, right now.

Warning: This article contains minor spoilers for What's Wrong With Secretary Kim!

The Plot

I know what you're all thinking: "Ugh, another rich arrogant CEO falling in love with his employee. Nothing special about it." Well, that's not true, it's actually a vice president who is narcissistic instead of arrogant! Joking.  But what I'm trying to say is: Yes, it is that type of drama but it's worth watching because it gives off a different vibe, an 'aura' (see what I did there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)).

So, the plot here is that a narcissistic (a person having an excessive interest in or admiration of oneself and one's physical appearance,... according to Google) vice president, Park Seo Joon, has been working with his secretary, Park Min Youngfor nine freaking years!

The thing is that he has been in love with her since they first started working together but doesn't notice it because he's too busy admiring himself. He's so in love with himself that it reaches a point where you can't stop laughing at him and you'll notice that every time he praises himself you can hear a dog barking (ᗒᗜᗕ).

But when everything seems okay, she suddenly hands in her resignation letter and that is when things start going crazy.

The Actors

(Oh, and they look damn good together.)

Let me tell you why Park Seo Joon is the perfect match for this show. He portrays the role of Lee Young Joon who is the cold, narcissistic vice president of a company who has it all. Yet, he has a soft spot for his secretary Kim Mi So (Park Min Young) who is the only person he can fully trust and rely on. Through this role, Park Seo Joon became labeled as the king of romantic comedy as he perfectly depicts his arrogant, rough character who becomes flustered and comical if confronted with love.

You probably remember Park Min Young from Healer where she portrayed the role of Chae Yeon Shin. She is a really good actress and I think she excels in showing that Kim Mi So is hard-working, sweet and understanding. She is the exact opposite of her narcissistic boss. And how can I not mention how beautiful she looks in her long ponytail? ♡

Lee Tae Hwan plays the role of Lee Seo Yeon, the boss's older brother. They both had a dark past and are still suffering from this one incident that took place when they were kids, and Kim Mi So was involved in it, too. He is also the best selling novel writer Morpheus who Kim Mi So is a huge fan of. <Can you already sense the jealousy scenes?> ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

What I Loved About the Show

Even though he doesn't really show it, you can feel the chemistry between the two leads. Chemistry which makes your heart flutter like a fish without water (that was weird). And it's not one of those lead couples that make you cringe, it's the nice kind of chemistry.

He gets sad when she tries to resign and he tries to stop her at all cost. He doesn’t even realize that he loves her which I find cute. ♡ He asks her why she wants to leave but she says that it's due to personal reasons so he ends up thinking that she likes him while it's actually the other way around.

(Also, he gets super jealous whenever she gets close to other guys.)

Please at least give it a try and  I promise it won't disappoint you. ^^
