Hello ladies and gentlemen.

I hope everyone is safe and sound during the pandemic. How is everyone holding on? Tell me in the comment section below how you've been coping with the boredom! I hope everyone is staying inside and practicing good hygiene. I know it can get quite boring during the quarantine. I've run out of any good dramas to watch, and quite frankly I'm too picky! But if you guys have any recommendations then please do let me know in the comments below! And without any further ado, let's get on with the article.

This article is about the upcoming Korean drama called Born Again.  Now obviously I don't know what genre you guys prefer to watch, personally, for me, I generally only watch if a drama has romance in it. That being said I think everyone can enjoy this drama and just from the overall plot summary, it seems very interesting and unique. It's a combination of different genres: reincarnation, murder, mystery, romance basically all the good stuff!

The storyline

You guys can go ahead and read the plot summary here but basically the drama is about a very stereotypical kdrama female lead who is very kind, loving and caring but is very sick and her heart is very weak- literally! She is then met with two very capable and dashing guys (*ahem ahem* Lee Soo Hyuk is literally daddy material)  and destiny will decide who she will end up with. Obviously they all die in their first life (don't worry guys, not a spoiler) so no one ends up together but in the second life, oh, that is when the tension arises!

Also a side note:

I'm so mad that Lee Soo Hyuk is the second lead. From the looks of it, he seems to like her first in the 1st life as a detective and she likes him back but then in the 2nd life, not so much. I mean we all know the drill. According to the rule book of A Second Male Lead's Guide To Not Getting The Girl- Ever, we know that they always like the FL first, for example, in Love Alarm, Lee Hye Young liked Jojo first but does he get the girl? Hell no. That would be preposterous! How dare you even think that the Second lead would get the slightest attention from the FL! Nonsense.

However that being said, please do take whatever I have said with a grain of salt because I am not completely sure what will happen in the drama.

The Cast

Jin Se Yeon as Jung Ha-Eun/ Jung Sa Bin

In her first life in the 1980s, Jung Ha Eun suffers from dilated cardiomyopathy (heart stuff). She is a librarian and owns the used bookstore "Old Future." (haha I see what you did there sneaky writers). Nothing special to be honest, it's the same trope. A weak and feeble lady in distress. In the present day, Jung Sa-Bin is an instructor of archaeology. Although I do wonder why the writer chose her occupation in the future as an archaeologist, this will be very interesting if they can pull it off.

Jang Ki Yong as Kong Ji-Cheol/Cheon Jong-Beom

Jang Ki Young plays the character of a serial killer in the first life. (seriously what is up with him always playing the role of a mad killer or a psychopath. Not complaining though, he can pull it off really good but my man can do so much more than just a serial killer). I loved his performance in My Ajusshi and Yes I'm sorry guys I must confess, I am the 0.99% of people who shipped him with IU I'm sorry. It is what it is. I couldn't help it!

I guess he falls for the FL in the first life but she is already in love with the character of Lee Soo Hyuk, so it's a sticky situation. Let the love triangle begin. In his second life, he is a medical student, pretty ironic if you ask me.

Lee Soo Hyuk as Cha Hyeong-Bin/Kim Soo Hyeok

In the 1980s, Cha Hyeong Bin is a detective who loves only one person, Jung Ha Eun, the FL. I think the feeling is mutual but I guess something happens between them and they can't be together.  In the present day, Kim Soo-Hyeok is a prosecutor, who believes in a crime gene that is inherited which is also a very interesting topic to debate in psychology since the inception of criminology. Here's an article if anyone is interested in researching more about this matter! It seems like a cat and mouse chase and I'm here for it!

Also, can we have a moment of silence for Hyuk's sexiness. I think I need a moment sorry. I'll be right back with you guys, just need to breathe... so... damn...hot... can't... breathe.

Overall, I think this drama will be very fascinating if they can actually execute it well. There's a lot of overwhelming element going on here and I hope that they don't get the storyline messed up because of it and focus on something else completely. That would be a loss, especially they have such an amazing cast and actors.  I guess we'll have to wait and see.

And can you guys tell me if your team LSH or JKY? I'm team LSH all the way baby. Let's go. But I don't mind JKy either lol.

So don't forget to mark your calendar guys! And let's watch the debut episode together despite different time zones! I hope everyone will be sane until then LOL because I think I won't be, staying in my bed 24/7 is kinda making me mad not gonna lie! So let's all stay inside and watch our dramas so we can get through this lockdown quicker! I'd love to know where everyone is from and how the situation is going on in their country! Me, I currently live in the UK and people are surprisingly obeying the social distancing rules! As they should.

So, stay safe folks! Stay inside, social distancing is key and don't forget to wash your hands, you dirty pigs! Disgusting.
