Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Actor Go Kyung Pyo will be joining KBS special program Black Box on Earth as an AI (artificial intelligence).
On October 9, it was officially confirmed that Go Kyung Pyo will star in the 50th anniversary special of KBS titled Black Box on Earth. His agency CL& Company also confirmed that the actor will be part of the program.
Black Box on Earth will tell the story of a recorder found in a black box of data centers in the uninhabitable district against the backdrop of the future in 2054, 2080, and 2123. It will showcase a climate crisis archive concert left by musicians in 2023.
Go Kyung Pyo will play the role of Russ, the controller of the Black Box Center. The actor will not physically act in the program but instead, he will be lending his voice and will portray as an AI (artificial intelligence) supercomputer that gives information and will also serve as the link to the entire Black Box on Earth.
The actor's character is expected to touch hearts with his simple tone by narrating the worldview where the climate crisis has come and the earth has become unlivable.
Black Box on Earth will premiere on October 9 at 9:40 PM KST. It will exclusively air on KBS.
In 2023, Go Kyung Pyo became an official cast of the Netflix original K-drama D.P. Season 2. He worked alongside Jung Hae In, Koo Kyo Hwan, Kim Sung Kyun, Son Suk Ku, Kim Ji Hyun, and Ji Jin Hee.
The actor is also set to star in the upcoming series No Secret and will work alongside Kang Han Na, Joo Jong Hyuk, Lee Bom So Ri, and Lee Ji Myeong.
Go Kyung Pyo will also join the upcoming movie Amazon Bow Master.
The actor is known for being part of works such as Connect, Love in Contract, Private Lives, Strongest Deliveryman, Chicago Typewriter, Jealousy Incarnate, Reply 1988, 6/45, Decision to Leave, Coin Locker Girl, and more.
