A new celebrity couple has been born!
Actress Han Ji Min and Jannabi's main vocalist Choi Jung Hoon are confirmed to be in a relationship. Media outlets reported on August 8 that the two recently developed their relationship into a romantic one.
With the circulating reports, both their agencies shared their official statement.
Han Ji Min's agency BH Entertainment shared, "Han Ji Min is dating Choi Jung Hoon. They first met through a show and have recently developed into a romantic relationship. Please give them lots of support." Likewise, Choi Jung Hoon's agency also confirmed the relationship and asked fans to watch over the couple with warm eyes.
Han Ji Min and Choi Jung Hoon first met through the KBS entertainment show The Seasons Season 2: Choi Jung Hoon’s Night Park In August last year. The two also shared a duet and sang Jannabi's "A thought on an autumn night" as well as 10CM's "Spring to Love" which was part of Han Ji Min's K-drama Our Blues.
Aside from the KBS show, Han Ji Min's agency also shared a clip of Han Ji Min practicing with Choi Jung Hoon for the show. In the clip, the actress expressed to the singer that she was a fan and had attended a Jannabi concert before.
According to reports, Han Ji Min and Choi Jung Hoon maintained their friendship after the KBS show and have recently developed their relationship into a romantic one.
Their relationship news is attracting attention as this is the first time in 26 years since her debut that Han Ji Min has admitted to being in a romantic relationship.
Another notable aspect of this relationship is the couple's age gap. Han Ji Min, born in 1982, is 10 years older than Choi Jung Hoon, born in 1992.
Han Ji Min is set to star in the upcoming K-dramas Acquaintances and More Beautiful Than Heaven.
Choi Jung Hoon on the other hand will hold his first solo concert this September.
