Ha Jung Woo and Krystal Jung will reportedly pair up in the upcoming thriller K-drama The Landlord.
Media outlet Sports Chosun shared on January 14 that Ha Jung Woo and Krystal Jung will be the main leads of the upcoming K-drama The Landlord by Scarlet Innocence director.
Ha Jung Woo confirmed his casting through his agency. Meanwhile, Krystal Jung's agency stated that they are still confirming the casting reports and nothing has been decided yet.
The Landlord will tell the story of a building owner struggling with big debt. To protect his family and his building which are more precious than his life, he decided to participate in a crime. Fake kidnapping unfolds the narrative of real kidnapping.
Ha Jung Woo will portray the role of Ki Soo Joong. He is a building owner full of debts who eventually became involved in a kidnapping scheme. Meanwhile, there's no information yet on the character that was offered to Krystal Jung.
The Landlord will be the next work of director Im Pil Sung who also created the works Departure, Sun, Scarlet Innocence, Persona, and the upcoming K-drama Bastard led by Park Ji Hoon.
This will be the comeback of Ha Jung Woo to the small screen after three years. He was last seen in the Netflix original K-drama Narco-Saints with Hwang Jung Min, Park Hae Soo, Jo Woo Jin, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Choo Ja Hyun.
Ha Jung Woo will also lead the upcoming films Nocturnal, Lobby, People Upstairs, Lunar Eclipse, and more.
The Landlord will also possibly be Krystal Jung's official return to K-dramas after three years. The last time she led a series was in 2022 with Crazy Love. Last year, she made a special cameo appearance in The Player 2: Master of Swindlers.
