Heo Sung Tae will be joining the cast of the upcoming KBS drama "Red Single Heart."

On November 15th Heo Sung Tae's agency Hanahreum Company announced that the actor will join the historical drama "Red Single Heart."

"Red Single Heart" will be the latest work of writer Park Pil Joo ("First Love Again,” and "Naeil's Cantabile"). The drama will tell the story of how Sunjong became the king in revolt and how Lee Tae became the king of Joseon. 

The upcoming historical drama will be led by Lee Joon, Jang Hyuk, Kang Han Na, Park Ji Yun, Ha Do Gwon, Yoon Seo Ah, and more. 

Lee Joon will be playing the role of Lee Tae. He plans to destroy the anti-government officials to strengthen his kingship. Jang Hyuk will play the role of Park Gye Won, he will be the kingmaker who will make it possible for Lee Tae to become an absolute monarch. Kang Ha Na will portray the role of Yoo Jung, a free soul who will get embroiled in a power struggle in the royal court. 

Heo Sung Tae will be playing the role of Cho Won Pyo, the Minister of War. He is a good friend of Park Gye Won since the rebellion. He's also the second most recognized person in the world.

"Red Single Heart" is set to have a total of 20 episodes and will premiere in the first half of 2022.

"Red Single Heart" will be Heo Sung Tae's first drama for 2022. He last starred in the global hit drama  "Squid Game" with Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, Jung Ho Yeon, Wi Ha Joon, Oh Young Soo, and more. He will also appear in one of the most awaited Netflix original series "The Silent Sea" with Gong Yoo, Bae Doo Na, Lee Joon, and more. 

Heo Sung Tae is also set to star in the upcoming movies "Stellar," "Hunt," and "Boys."

The actor recently had several guestings on variety programs such as "I Live Alone," "My Little Old Boy," "Omniscient Interfering View," and more.
