Hong Kyung will be working alongside Kim Tae Ri and Oh Jung Se in the upcoming SBS drama "The Demon."
On August 10th, it was revealed that Hong Kyung would be added to the cast of the upcoming drama "The Demon" written by top writer Kim Eun Hee ("Jirisan," "Kingdom," and "Signal").
"The Demon" will be one of the upcoming drama projects of Kim Eun Hee after the 2021 tvN drama "Jirisan." She will also pen the forthcoming drama "Rebound" and the reported drama special "Kingdom: Tale of the Crown Prince."
The upcoming series is confirmed to be led by Kim Tae and Oh Jung Se. There are no details yet on what roles will be played by Hong Kyung and other casts.
Hong Kyung is signed under the same company as Kim Tae Ri and this will be their first project together.
"The Demon" will premiere in the first half of 2023.
Hong Kyung is booked and busy with several upcoming dramas. Aside from "The Demon," the actor will also join the new series "Concrete Market" and the two seasons of "Weak Hero."
The actor was last seen in the 2021 drama "Lovers of the Red Sky" with Kim Yoo Jung, Ahn Hyo Seop, Gong Myung, Kwak Shi Yang, Choi Kwang Il, and Kim Kwang Gyu. Because of this drama, Hong Kyung received the Best New Male Actor Award in the film category at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.
Hong Kyung made his acting debut in 2012. Since then, he has starred in several dramas such as "Queen of Mystery," "School 2017," "While You Were Sleeping," "Jugglers," "Just Between Lovers," "Life on Mars," "My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2: Crime and Punishment," "Hotel del Luna," "D.P.," and more.
