On April 4, Pan Entertainment, the production company of You Have Done Well, announced that it had signed a production and distribution contract with Netflix.

According to the disclosure, the K-drama will be distributed worldwide, and the contract period is until October 31, 2025. The K-drama will be released in 190 countries around the world. 

You Have Done Well tells the story of a rebellious aspiring poet Ae Soon and a reserved man Gwan Shik. 

IU will play the role of young Ae Soon, and Park Bo Gum will be seen as young Gwan Shik. The characters of middle-aged Ae Soon and Gwan Shik are played by Moon So Ri (who will be seen as Oh Seung Sook in the upcoming Netflix series Queenmaker) and Park Hae Joon (famous for his performance in the Arthdal Chronicles series), respectively. 

The K-dramas extended cast includes Na Moon Hee (last seen as Choi Hae Nam in Navillera), Choi Dae Hoon (famous for playing supporting roles in One Dollar Lawyer, Curtain Call, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo), Kim Yong Rim (recently seen as Yoon Gap Boon in Three Bold Siblings), and the rising star Lee Jun Young. The screenplay of the drama is penned by Fight for My Way and When the Camellia Blooms writer, 

Im Sang ChoonAnd My Mister and Signal director Kim Won Suk is credited for helming the series.
