Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Jang Geun Suk might finally return to the small screen after 3 years!
According to several reports on July 8th, Jang Geun Suk will return to the acting world with the upcoming Kakao drama "Unexpected Country Diary."
Jang Geun Suk's agency AG Corporation shared their side and revealed that the actor is currently reviewing the offer.
"Unexpected Country Diary" will be based on a web novel of the same name written by Park Ha Min. A romance drama that will unveil the story of a man from Seoul who's currently living in a rural area. He will eventually meet a policewoman.
No other details have been revealed yet regarding the timing and broadcast station.
Jang Geun Suk was discharged from the military in May 2020. Since then, he became active in meeting domestic and global fans through several online activities. He was also a special DJ for Kim Young Cheol's Power FM. He last had an online fan meeting on his official YouTube channel on June 28, 2020.
The actor last starred in the 2018 drama "Switch: Change the World" with Han Ye Ri, Jung Woong In, Jo Hee Bong, Kwon Hwa Woon, Lee Jung Gil, and more. It aired on SBS every Wednesday and Thursday with 32 episodes.
He was also part of the dramas "The Royal Gambler," "Bel Ami," "Love Rain," "Mary Stayed Out All Night," "You're Beautiful," and many more.
Jang Geun Suk was also included in the movies "Human, Space, Time and Human," "Camp," "You're My Pet," "Budapest Diary," "The Case of Itaewon Homicide," and many more.
Aside from acting, Jang Geun Suk also releases music. He has released several albums and he's not only popular in Korea but also in Japan for his music.
