Kim Sae Ron to resume activities after two years of self-reflection
Jin Ki Joo offered to join the upcoming MBC drama "Showtime Begins!".
According to several reports on July 29th Jin Ki Joo was cast to be the female lead for the upcoming drama "Showtime Begins!". She will be working with Park Hae Jin in the drama.
Jin Ji Joo's agency FL ENT shared that their artist is currently reviewing the offer from the said drama.
"Showtime Begins!" will be a collaboration between director Lee Hyung Min ("Monthly Magazine Home" and "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon") and writer Ha Yoon Ah ("Mystic Pop-Up Bar").
The upcoming fantasy romantic-comedy drama will reportedly be the ghost version of "Bad Guys" It will narrate the adventure of Cha Cha Woong, a magician who works with ghosts to solve cases.
Jin Ki Joo got the offer to play the role of Go Seul Hae, a righteous and passionate police officer who has a mysterious secret. Park Hae Jin on the other hand will play the role of Cha Cha Woong, one of the most famous in the world of magic.
"Showtime Begins!" will begin filming this coming September and it will premiere on MBC in the first half of 2022.
If Jin Ki Joo accepts the drama, this will be her follow-up project since 2020's "Homemade Love Story." She was also the main lead in the drama together with Lee Jang Woo.
The actress was also part of several dramas such as "The Secret Life of My Secretary," "Come and Hug Me," "Misty," "Twenty Again," and more.
Jin Ki Joo also starred in the 2021 movie "Midnight" with Wi Ha Joon, Kim Hye Yoon, Park Hoon, Kil Hae Yeon, and Oh Ji Young.
