Jo Han Chul will reportedly join the upcoming KBS historical K-drama The Battle of Marriage.
Media outlets reported on August 24th that Jo Han Chul will be added to the cast of the upcoming K-drama The Battle of Marriage. He will reportedly portray the role of the King.
Meanwhile, before we see Jo Han Chul in a historical K-drama once again, we should anticipate him first in the upcoming Netflix original K-drama Gyeongseong Creature. He will be working alongside Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Kim Su Hyun, Kim Hae Sook, and Wi Ha Joon.
This year, the actor has already appeared in different genres of K-dramas such as Stealer: The Treasure Keeper and Race.
Aside from The Battle of Marriage, Jo Han Chul will also join the 2024 historical K-drama Queen Woo led by Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Mu Yeol, Ji Chang Wook, Jung Yoo Mi, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Park Ji Hwan.
Jo Han Chul will also join the upcoming movies Believer 2 and My Name Is Loh Kiwan.
The Battle of Marriage will tell the romantic story between a young widow Jung Soon Deok and a young widower named Shim Jung Woo. They will work together to marry off the four young maidens who represent Joseon.
The upcoming historical romance K-drama will be led by SF9's Rowoon and Cho Yi Hyun.
The Battle of Marriage will be the next work of director Hwang Seung Gi (Radio Romance) and writer Ha Soo Jin (Sell Your Haunted House).
According to reports, Jo Han Chul was cast to play the role of the King. This will be his return to the role of a monarch after the 2018 K-drama 100 Days My Prince.
The Battle of Marriage will have a total of 16 episodes and is set to premiere in October 2023. It will exclusively air on KBS2.
