TWICE's Kim Da Hyun confirmed to make her acting debut!
Joo Woo Jae is returning to acting after two years!
On September 15th, it was officially confirmed that Joo Woo Jae will be added to the cast lineup of the upcoming JTBC K-drama Strong Girl Namsoon.
YG Entertainment also confirmed the casting reports. According to the agency, "Joo Woo Jae is confirmed to portray the role of Ji Hyun Soo in the upcoming K-drama Strong Girl Namsoon.
Strong Girl Namsoon is the next production of director Kim Jung Shik and Baek Mi Kyung. It will be produced by Barun Son C&C, Storyphinics, and SLL.
It will tell the story of three women who are naturally born with amazing superhuman strength. They will work together to solve drug crimes that are centered in the Gangnam area. This will be the sequel to the popular 2017 K-drama Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.
The cast of Strong Girl Namsoon includes Lee You Mi, Kim Jung Eun, Kim Hae Sook, Ong Seong Wu, Byeon Woo Seok, and Park Young Tak.
Strong Girl Namsoon will premiere on October 7 at 10:30 PM KST. The series will premiere on JTBC and the OTT platform, TVING.
Joo Woo Jae will play the role of Ji Hyun Soo. He became a beggar at a young age. Although he is a beggar, he is useful as he likes to read economic newspapers and social media. He is known as an "insider homeless." He will encounter Kang Nam Soon (Lee You Mi's character) while living as a homeless along the Han River.
The entertainer-actor shared his thoughts on joining the new K-drama, "I felt burdened to star in a popular K-drama series but it was a great experience to work with amazing actors and staff. I hope the viewers will enjoy our drama."
Joo Woo Jae last appeared in a 2021 K-drama titled Peng. He also participated in the K-dramas Please Don't Date Him, Best Chicken, Fluttering Warning, Come and Hug Me, I'm Not a Girl Anymore, and more.
He is also currently part of the entertainment programs Hangout with Yoo and Witch Hunt Season 3.
