Actress Kil Hae Yeon is confirmed to join the upcoming SBS historical K-drama Return to the Palace.
On August 23, it was officially confirmed that actress Kil Hae Yeon will join the cast of the historical romance K-drama Return to the Palace.
Return to the Palace will depict the romance story of Yoon Gab, who gets possessed by an Imoogi creature, and Yeo Ri, the granddaughter of a famous shaman, who refuses her fate. After Yoon Gab becomes possessed, Yeo Ri decides to enter the palace where Yoon Gab works, and there she will encounter a lot of powerful female ghosts and evil spirits.
The upcoming historical K-drama will be the joint work of director Yoon Sung Shik (Mr. Queen) and writer Yoon Soo Jung (Sassy Go Go).
Return to the Palace will be led by BTOB's Yook Sung Jae, WJSN's Bona, and Kim Ji Hoon, and the special participation of actor Kim Young Kwang.
In the series, Kil Hae Yeon will portray the role of the famous shaman. She is the grandmother of Yeo Ri played by Bona (Kim Ji Yeon) who has a divine gift.
Return to the Palace will premiere in the first half of 2025 and it will exclusively premiere on SBS.
This is the first confirmed K-drama project of Kil Hae Yeon for 2025.
The actress appeared in several K-dramas this year. She was part of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon and Wonderful World. She is also set to star in the upcoming movie Mist with Kwak Sun Young, Girls Generation's Kwon Yu Ri, Lee Seol, Gi So Yoo, and Shin Dong Mi.
Kil Hae Yeon is known for being part of the K-dramas Strangers Again, Trolley, Cleaning Up, Law School, Beyond Evil, and more.
