Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Kim Ji Suk will reportedly join the upcoming new season of the ENA K-drama New Recruit.
Several media outlets reported on April 6 that Kim Ji Suk will be added to the cast of the upcoming K-drama New Recruit Season 2.
Kim Ji Suk's agency Alien Company shared their side regarding the casting reports. According to the agency, Kim Ji Suk is positively considering starring in the second season of the K-drama.
New Recruit Season 2 will be led by Kim Min Ho, Jeon Seung Hun, Nam Tae Woo, Lee Sang Jin, Lee Jung Hyun, and Lee Choong Goo.
The upcoming series is a black comedy K-drama that is set in the military. The story will be based on the web animation that was created by YouTuber Jangbbijju.
It will be directed by Min Jin Gi, the same director of the K-dramas When the Devil Calls Your Name, Golden Tower, Blue Tower, and more.
New Recruit Season 2 will have a total of 10 episodes. There is no confirmation yet on the premiere date of the upcoming K-drama.
If Kim Ji Suk confirms his casting, this will be his very first time acting in a military setting. The actor has starred in different kinds of genres and this will be a new challenge to his career.
This will also possibly be the first K-drama of Kim Ji Suk for the year. He was last seen in the 2022 K-drama Kiss Sixth Sense with Yoon Kye Sang, Seo Ji Hye, Lee Joo Yeon, Tae In Ho, and Kim Ga Eun.
Kim Ji Suk made his acting debut in 2005. He has starred in several K-dramas such as The Slave Hunters, Personal Taste I Need Romance Season 2, Wonderful Mama, Angel Eyes, Another Miss Oh, Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People, When the Camellia Blooms, Monthly Magazine Home, and more.
