Actor Kim Myung Soo takes on the role of a Confucian scholar of the 21st century.
KBS2's upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama Treat Me Carelessly dropped stills of Kim Myung Soo, who will be seen as Shin Yoon Bok in the K-drama.
Treat Me Carelessly tells the story of Shin Yoon Bok (Kim Myung Soo), a Confucian scholar of the 21st century, and Kim Hong Do (Lee Yoo Young), a woman tired of living a life of being treated carelessly.
In the K-drama, Kim Myung Soo portrays Shin Yoon Bok, the heir to Seongsan Village and a cultural property restoration specialist responsible for his family's mission.
He is an exemplary figure who adheres to morals and principles and regards the words of the elders in the family as the law. However, he is also a typical modern MZ (Millennials and Gen Z) youth, adventurous and rebellious. He is polite towards everyone but cautious about trusting people and sets boundaries when others approach him.
After having fled Seoul to pursue his dream of becoming a webtoon writer, he meets Kim Hong Do and stands at the starting point of change.
Treat Me Carelessly will premiere on May 13. More news about the K-drama's global OTT platform is yet to come.
