"Chief Detective 1958" Observes Slight Drop in Domestic Viewership
The upcoming MBC drama Wonderful World dropped its first teaser on January 25.
Wonderful World is a mystery drama that follows Eun Soo Hyun, who takes justice into her own hands after the tragic loss of her son.
The drama casts Kim Nam Joo (as Eun Soo Hyun), Cha Eun Woo (as Kwon Seon Yul), Kim Kang Woo (as Kang Soo Ho), and Im Se Mi (as Han Yoo Ri).
Kim Nam Joo plays the role of Eun Soo Hyun, a successful psychology professor and writer who experienced a complete turnaround in life after losing her young son.
Cha Eun Woo plays Kwon Seon Yul, a mysterious young man who chooses a rough path to life despite growing up in a wealthy family.
The teaser opens with Eun Soo Hyun saying, "It all started with the incident of that day." Various mysterious details, such as a door closing with a clank, a car speeding through the dark night, a building engulfed in flames, a lonely memorial park, and a bleak view of a prison, pique curiosity about the circumstances of the characters.
Eun Soo Hyun's painful screams are followed by her question, "You don't think I'm terrible?"
Kwon Seon Yul says, "Does it look like I'm living well? Do you know when humans suffer the most?" leaving viewers in mystery about the dire reality surrounding him.
The teaser piques curiosity about the shocking event that plunged the characters into darkness and the secrets they will uncover.
