The upcoming K-movie The Childe has confirmed its theatrical release in June 2023, though the exact release date is not yet revealed. 

The Childe is an upcoming action thriller that tells the story of a struggling boxer, whose father is of Korean descent and whose mother belongs to the Philippines. The young man, whose mother is now sick, comes to South Korea to find his father, only to encounter dangerous and powerful forces chasing him.

The teaser poster shows the silhouette of a man whistling while wandering on a dark evening in a deserted place. 

 The Childe casts the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha actor Kim Seon Ho, who will now return to the cinema after two years, and the movie will mark his big screen debut; Kim Kang Woo (last seen in Red Eyes); the rising star Kang Tae Joo; and the veteran actress Go Ah Ra, who will also make a comeback after seven years to the big screen after last being seen in the K-movie Phantom Detective. 

Kim Seon Ho's character is expected to be the rival of  Kang Tae Joo's character named Marco, a boxer in the movie. The filming of the movie began on December 10, 2021. 

The movie is directed by  Park Hoon Jung, whose famous works include The Witch series, Night in Paradiseand I Saw the Devil to name a few.
