Na In Woo and Lee Se Young will reportedly work together for a new MBC K-drama!
Lee Byung Hun and Son Ye Jin are reportedly working together on a new project by director Park Chan Wook.
According to media outlets on April 2, Lee Byung Hun and Son Ye Jin have been picked to star in the upcoming movie titled The AX (working title).
Lee Byung Hun and Son Ye Jin's respective agencies both shared their side regarding the casting news. According to their agencies, the two received the offer to star in the upcoming film. Lee Byung Hun's side stated that the top actor is positively considering the offer. Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin's side shared that they are still reviewing the proposal and there's no official decision yet.
The upcoming movie The AX will reportedly be the remake of the 2005 black comedy film "The Axe" by director Costa-Gavras.
If Lee Byung Hun confirms his casting, this will be his third project with director Park Chan Wook. The two previously worked on the films Joint Security Area and Three... Extremes. This will be their reunion project after 20 years.
Meanwhile, this will possibly be the grand return of Son Ye Jin to the big screen. She last appeared in a film in 2018 called The Negotiation with her now husband, actor Hyun Bin.
The upcoming movie is set to begin its filming in the second half of 2024.
Aside from this upcoming film, Lee Byung Hun is also set to star in several projects. The top actor will return to the Squid Game Season 2 this year. He will also lead the upcoming movies I Believe in a Thing Called Love and The Match.
This upcoming movie will also possibly be Son Ye Jin's follow-up project after the 2022 K-drama Thirty-Nine. The top actress had a break after getting married and giving birth to her first child. She has met the public through different activities and advertisements.
