The upcoming cheerleading-themed K-movie Victory dropped character stills featuring Lee Hye Ri, who plays the lead role of Pil Sun.

Victory tells the story of Pil Sun (Lee Hye Ri) and Mi Na (Park Se Wan), who started the cheerleading club Millennium Girls in a school located in Geoje, the southern tip of the country, in 1999. The movie also stars Lee Jung Ha, Jo Aram, Choi Ji Su, and Baek So Hyun, among others.

Pil Sun is a high school student famous in Geoje for her dance skills, and dreams of moving to Seoul and becoming a dancer. She is a passionate girl instilled with confidence.

She puts together a cheerleading club, Millennium Girls, with Mi Na (Park Se Wan), her dance partner and soulmate, and Se Hyun (Jo Aram), a cheerleader who came from Seoul to set up a dance practice room in the school.

Actress Lee Hye Ri commented, "When I read the script for Victory, I felt overwhelmed thinking about Pil Sun dancing to the songs of that era." She explained her reasons for choosing the project: "For Victory, I had to prepare a lot, including cheerleading, hip-hop, and dialect. I was able to challenge myself with things I’ve never done before."

Director Park Bum Soo commented, "I thought of Hye Ri from the very beginning when writing the script. She is an actress who meets many criteria such as energy, diverse talents, physical abilities, and loveliness."

Also check out the stills featuring Lee Jung Ha and Jo Aram, among others.

Victory will premiere on August 14.
