Lee Je Hoon and Koo Kyo Hwan's upcoming K-movie Escape has confirmed its theatrical release for July 3.

Escape follows Sergeant Lim Kyu Nam (Lee Je Hoon), planning to escape to the South, and State Security Department Major Ri Hyeon Sang (Koo Kyo Hwan) trying to stop him.

The film is helmed by Samjin Company English Class director Lee Jong Pil.

The posters capture Kyu Nam (Lee Je Hoon) attempting to escape and Hyeon Sang (Koo Kyo Hwan) chasing him with a fierce look and a gun aimed at Kyu Nam.

The trailer shows Kyu Nam planning a secret escape to the South, joined by Dong Hyuk (Hong Xa Bin). But Hyeon Sang (Koo Kyo Hwan) constantly suspects and surveils them. We see Kyu Nam and Dong Hyuk running through pitch-black darkness, dense forests, and to the edge of a cliff while being constantly chased by Hyeon Sang.

Kyu Nam says, "I have decided on my path," and Hyeon Sang, asks, "Do you think the South is all paradise? There is no such paradise in this world." The trailer also gives a glimpse of Song Kang in his guest appearance.

Escape will premiere on July 3. Watch the trailer here
