A movie filled with plenty of life lessons!
This. This is my kind of movie. The movie that suits my taste so perfectly. Revenge, but this time without violence. Watching this movie reminded me of Kim Sabu’s quote “Just because you vented your frustrations doesn’t mean you’ve gotten revenge. Even if you go around swinging a baseball bat for 100 days those people probably won’t remember your face. If you really want to get revenge.. become much better human being than those people. Don’t get revenge with anger, but with skill. If you don’t change, nothing else will either.”Some people might think the movie would be about Korean ladies speaking broken English for comedy, and that this movie may have a thin plot, I was also one of them at first. The title says it all, “Samjin Company English Class”. What could be so entertaining from watching people learning English? But let me tell you, this ‘English Class’ is way more important than what you think it is. The casts, all women? Yes, it’s mostly women. But the casts were amazing! They acted out every emotions every feelings so perfectly. The 3 main characters all had their different personalities and they acted out their roles flawlessly.
This movie would make you feel like you’re in a rollercoaster. You smile in the beginning, seeing the friendships; you laugh; then smile again, feeling proud of what women can achieve; you cry, because there would be some tearjerker scenes that made me fail to hold back my tears; then it ends with all smiles. Women empowerment would always be my favorite genre. I’m proud watching it!
This movie teaches us not to label each other, not to belittle anyone (especially women, and high school graduates in this movie), “nothing is impossible, because we are great.” Be extremely proud of yourself, do what you love and don’t let anyone tell you what to do. Stand up for what is right and fight for what you think is true.
These girlies deserve an applaud for their acting! Every of the actors and actresses are excellent. After watching Lee Sung Wook as an antagonist in Collectors yesterday, I met him one again here but as a protagonist LOL! The K-Movie world is a small world after all~~~ So, overall a 10/10 for me! Definitely recommended for all of you who needs a non-romance comedy movie about women empowerment! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

boring yet entertaining
this was like a mix of erin brockovich and money game. even though the plot was boring, the essence of the movie came from the "tiny" people others took for granted, so this was mainly character driven and those characters made it all entertaining enough that I never got bored.the female power mixed with the underdog type of feel really made this shine. agh I even teared up at the end, I was like yes you tiny people, you can do it!
tiny here was more about their "significance" in the work place and how others perceived them, I think the ant thing really emphasized that, alone they were
Lee Joo Young didn't have as much screentime as I hoped but I really liked her character too. overall the acting was great, the songs weren't memorable and I never rewatch stuff
