Lee Je Hoon received the offer to lead the upcoming movie about a North Korean soldier titled "Escape."

On December 23rd, media outlet OSEN shared that Lee Je Hoon received the casting offer to star in the upcoming movie "Escape." They also revealed that the actor is positively reviewing the offer.  Other details are still under discussion.

"Escape" will be the next work of director Lee Jong Pil who also helmed hit movies such as "Samjin Company English Class" and "The Sound of a Flower." The action film will narrate the story of North Korean soldiers who are dreaming of defecting. 

Lee Je Hoon will reportedly play the character of a North Korean defector. 

"Escape" will be produced by The Lamp, the film company who also released works such as "Samjin Company English Class," "Taxi Driver," "Malmoe: The Secret Mission," "Love, Lies," and "Commitment."

The upcoming film is currently in the pre-production stage and "Escape" will reportedly begin filming in February next year.

2021 has been a busy year for Lee Je Hoon. He starred in two dramas such as  "Taxi Driver" and Netflix's original series "Move To Heaven." He also had his directorial debut this year through the movie "Unframed." Before the year ends, Lee Je Hoon will also be part of the movie "Floor" with Moon Chae Won, Kang Shin Il, Yang Dong Geun, Lee Sae Byul, Jung Joon Ha, and more which will be released on December 27. 

2021 was also the year that Lee Je Hoon established his own agency named COMPANY ON. 

If Lee Je Hoon confirms his casting for "Escape," this will be his first project next year. 

Lee Je Hoon is known for being the main lead of the dramas "Where Stars Land," "Tomorrow With You," and "Signal."
