Lee Joon will reportedly join the star-studded cast of the upcoming drama "The Escape of Seven."

On July 14th various media outlets shared that Lee Joon will be the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming series "The Escape of Seven" directed and written by the people behind "The Penthouse: War in Life." 

Lee Joon's agency Prain TPC responded to the casting reports through the media outlet Dispatch. The agency stated that the idol-actor is currently reviewing the offer to star in the series.

"The Escape of Seven" will be the latest collaboration work of director Joo Dong Min and writer Kim Soon Ok. The drama will revolve around seven prisoners who entered prison at the same time. It will tell the story of how they will become friends and unite to survive and escape prison. 

The drama will be led by Hwang Jung Eum, Uhm Ki Joon, Yoon Jong Hoon, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Hyun Min, and Yoon Joo Hee.

"The Escape of Seven" will reportedly air through SBS. The series is set to premiere next year. 

For this year, Lee Joon focused on the drama "Bloody Heart" with Kang Han Na, Jang Hyuk, Park Ji Yeon, Heo Sung Tae, and Ha Do Gwon

If Lee Joon confirms his casting for "The Escape of Seven," this will be his follow-up work. 

In 2021, the idol-actor was more active. He starred in two dramas such as "The Silent Sea" and "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls." 

Lee Joon made his acting debut while still being part of his former k-pop group MBLAQ. In 2015, Lee Joon has been more active as an actor than an idol. He has starred in several dramas such as "IRIS 2," "Gap Dong," "Mr. Back," "Heard it Through the Grapevine," "Vampire Detective," "My Father is Strange," and more.
