Jeon Jong Seo receives offer to star in the upcoming K-drama "Genie House"
Lee Sang Yeob and Kim So Hye will be working together for the upcoming KBS drama "Pure Boxer."
On October 18th, it was officially confirmed that Lee Sang Yeob and Kim So Hye will be the main leads of the upcoming novel-based drama "Pure Boxer."
"Pure Boxer" will be the latest work of director Choi Sang Yeol and Hong Eun Mi and writer Kim Min Joo. The series will base its story on the novel of the same name.
The upcoming series will showcase the beautiful growth of the youth who struggle with their given talents and pursue what they want to do. It will also reveal the sports industry interestingly and honestly.
Lee Sang Yeob will play the role of Kim Tae Young, an S&P sports agent who recruits talented players and makes them retire in a short period. He will approach genius boxer Lee Kwon Sook who went on hiatus for three years.
Kim So Hye will play the role of Lee Kwon Sook, a genius boxer who started her career at the age of 17. She suddenly disappeared right before she achieve the Grand Slam.
"Pure Boxer" will begin filming soon. The series will premiere in the first half of 2023.
This will be the first drama of Lee Sang Yeob for 2023. He last starred in the series "Eve" with Seo Yea Ji, Park Byung Eun, Yoo Sun, Jeon Gook Hwan, and Jung Hae Kyun.
Lee Sang Yeob is known for being part of the dramas "On the Verge of Insanity," "Once Again," "While You Were Sleeping," "Signal," and more.
This will be the comeback drama of Kim So Hye after two years. She last appeared in the 2021 drama "Her Bucket List." She has starred in several dramas such as "Ask Miss Shin," "How to Buy a Friend," "Best Chicken," "Ambergris," and "Society Obsessed with Love."
