Lee Joong Ok joins Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young in a new crime romance K-drama
Lee Se Young officially confirmed her appearance in the upcoming K-drama The Story of Park's Marriage Contract.
On March 21, it was officially confirmed that aside from Bae In Hyuk, Lee Se Young will also lead the upcoming MBC K-drama The Story of Park's Marriage Contract.
This will be the return of Lee Se Young to historical K-dramas after two years. She was last seen in the historical genre in 2021 through the hit series The Red Sleeve.
The Story of Park's Marriage Contract will be Lee Se Young's first project for the year. In 2022, she worked alongside Lee Seung Gi in the K-drama The Law Cafe.
Lee Se Young is known for being a versatile actress who has starred in different genres. She is best known for starring in the K-dramas Kairos, Memorist, Doctor John, The Crowned Clown, A Korean Odyssey, Missing You, and more.
Many are already anticipating her performance in the new historical drama that travels to modern times.
The Story of Park's Marriage Contract will base its story on the popular webtoon of the same name. It will be directed by Park Sang Hoon (Terius Behind Me).
The upcoming K-drama will revolve around a 19th-century Confucian woman named Park Yeon Woo. On the day of her marriage, her husband dies and she became a widow. On the same day, she suddenly finds herself in the year 2023 Korea. There she will meet a 21st-century man named Kang Tae Ha.
Lee Se Young will portray the role of Park Yeon Woo. She came from the Joseon period and time-traveled to Korea in the modern day. Her husband died in front of him on the first night of their honeymoon.
Bae In Hyuk will portray the role of Kang Tae Ha who is present in both Joseon and modern times. In the Joseon era, he suddenly dies on the day of his marriage. In modern times, he will meet Lee Se Young but he's different from the person from the Joseon period.
The Story of Park's Marriage Contract will be part of the Friday and Saturday timeslot of MBC. It will begin airing in the second half of 2023.
