Reports stated that Ma Dong Seok will be the main lead and producer of the American version of a Korean drama.

On April 20, US media outlet Deadline shared that actor Ma Dong Seok will be the main lead and producer of the American remake of Korean drama from OCN, "Trap.” The American series will be produced by Starling Entertainment and it will be titled "The Club.” The actor will also work with production partner Chris S. Lee for the remake drama. Jack Logidius who's also the writer of "The Suns of Anaki,” will write the script for the said remake.

Ma Dong Seok, also known as Don Lee, will play the role of a veteran detective who's currently investigating the case of news anchors who were attacked by a group of mysterious hunters during a camping trip. 

"The Club" will be depicted from the 2019 Korean drama "Trap" starring Lee Seo Jin, Sung Dong Il, Im Hwa Young, Kim Kwang Gyu, and more. Ma Dong Seok will be playing the same role as Sung Dong Il. 

Aside from Ma Dong Seok being reported as part of the cast, scheduling, broadcast, and other details are yet to be announced.

Aside from being one of the most famous actors in Korean cinema, Ma Dong Seok is stepping up his career in Hollywood with several projects in line. Ma Dong Seok also finished filming for his next movie "Apgujeong Report" and he currently resumed shooting for the upcoming movie "The Outlaws 2" that got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The top actor will also be part of "Along with the Gods 3" and "Along with the Gods 4".

Ma Dong Seok will also star in the upcoming film from Marvel,  "Eternals.” This movie will be his debut to the Hollywood market.
