Former NUEST's leader Kim Jong Hyeon will be returning to acting with Sound Candy.
On February 28, it was officially confirmed that Kim Jong Hyeon will be the main lead of the upcoming web K-drama titled Sound Candy. According to reports, the production is currently filming in Jeju Island.
There are no official details yet on who will work alongside Kim Jong Hyeon as well as the release date of the upcoming web K-drama.
Late last year, Kim Jong Hyeon revealed his hopes of being active as an actor through a pictorial. The idol actor shared that he's been actively seeking and auditioning for various works.
Kim Jong Hyeon made his solo debut as a singer in November of 2022. He released his 1st mini album titled MERIDIEM along with the lead single Lights.
In 2021, Kim Jong Hyeon officially made his broadcast channel K-drama debut through the series Let Me Be Your Knight. He worked alongside Jung In Sun, U-KISS Lee Jun Young, Jang Dong Joo, Yoon Ji Sung, and AB6IX's Kim Dong Hyun. There, he played the role of a member of an idol band. He started his acting career in 2016. He acted with his NUEST members in the movie Their Distance.
Kim Jong Hyeon made his official debut back in 2012 through Pledis Entertainment's first-ever boy group named NUEST. He was the leader of the group until 2022. His group NUEST officially disbanded on March 2022. They released their last album as part of the celebration of their 10th anniversary.
After Kim Jong Hyeon's contract with Pledis Entertainment expired, the idol actor decided to not renew his contract. Currently, he is signed under Evermore Entertainment. He has decided to continue his career as a solo artist and will also pursue his acting career.
