Ong Seong Wu received casting offer for the upcoming Kakao TV drama "Would You Like A Cup Of Coffee?"

On May 13th, media outlets shared that Ong Seong Wu will be the male lead for the new drama  "Would You Like A Cup Of Coffee?" produced by Daum Kakao TV. 

Kakao TV responded to the reports, confirming that Ong Seung Wu was offered the lead role. They also stated that Ong Seong Wu is positively considering to star in "Would You Like A Cup Of Coffee?"

Kakao TV has produced several dramas such as "Lovestruck in the City" with Kim Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook, "A Love So Beautiful" with Kim Yo Han and So Ju Yeon, "How to be Thirty" with Jung In Sun, CNBLUE's Kang Min Hyuk, and Song Jae Rim, "Love Revolution" with Park Ji Hoon and Lee Ruby, and more. 

Based from the webcomic of the same name, director Noh Jung Wook and scriptwriter Kim Joon Hyung will work together to create the upcoming drama "Would You Like A Cup Of Coffee?".

Ong Seung Wu was offered the role of Kang Go Bi, an aspiring barista who entered the world of coffee. Driven by passion but lacking in skills, he then works hard in learning about coffee and people through the teachings of a coffee master named Park Seok, the owner of a cafe called 2nd Coffee.

The drama aims to start filming in June. 

Ong Seung Wu is currently busy as a solo singer and rising actor. He previously starred in dramas such as "More Than Friends,” "Moment at Eighteen,” and more. The idol-actor is also set to debut in the big screen. He is part of the cast of the upcoming movies "Operation Seoul National University," "Life is Beautiful," and "Jung Family's Farm."

"Would You Like A Cup Of Coffee?" is slated to air in the second half of the year.
