At the 6th Newsis Hallyu Expo (hereafter referred to as K-Expo), held at The Great Hall of Chosun Palace in Seoul, actor Kim Soo Hyun was awarded the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Award. 

The Hallyu Expo was established in 2019 to enhance Hallyu's sustainability and competitiveness in the cultural industry. It serves as an occasion to recognize individuals and companies who have contributed to the spread and development of K-culture throughout the year.

Actor Kim Soo Hyun was honored with the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Award for his performance in the tvN drama Queen of Tears

Receiving the trophy, Kim Soo Hyun expressed his joy, saying, "This year, I've been receiving so much love for such a great piece of work. I am honored and happy to receive such a precious award."

He continued, "Thank you to everyone who loved Queen of Tears. I also want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the writer, directors, senior and junior colleagues... " and gave credit to those who worked on the project with him." 

Kim Soo Hyun also said, "I will always do my best to bring you great performances. Please always stay healthy and happy."

Whereas, actress Kim Hye Yoon received the National Assembly Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee Chairman's Award for her performance in Lovely Runner. 

Kim Hye Yoon said, "It's an honor to be able to participate in a Hallyu drama, and I'm grateful for receiving such a meaningful and significant award." "I feel like I am here representing the Lovely Runner team. I want to thank those who made Lovely Runner and the viewers who loved it. I will continue to work hard to widely promote Hallyu films and dramas." 

Among the awards recipients were Byun Yo Han, who also received the National Assembly Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee Chairman's Award for his performance in Uncle Samsik, and Go Min Si won the Seoul Mayor's Award for acting in all three seasons of Sweet Home.
