Rebound, slated to hit the theatres on April 5 in South Korea, was officially invited to the competition section of the 25th Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy. The movie was invited as a nominee for the Audience Award. 

The Udine Far East Film Festival is one of Europe's largest film festivals promoting Asian cinema. It is held every year in Udine, Italy.

Sabrina Barachetti, executive director of the Udine Far East Film Festival, said, "Rebound is a film based on a true story that embodies the essential and original spirit of sports and tells the story of a team learning to live with dignity and perseverance".

The winners in the competition category are determined by audience voting. Last year, the Korean film Miracle: Letters to the President, starring Im Yoon AhLee Sung Min, and Park Jung Min, won the prestigious Golden Mulberry Award at the film festival. 

This year the film festival will be held from April 21 to the 29.

Moreover, Rebound was pre-sold in various countries including England, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.

Rebound tells a touching and prodigious true story of the 2012 National High School Basketball Championship, where a new coach and a ragtag team of 6 players, considered to be the weakest basketball team, defy all odds and rise to the KBA National Tournament. The movie is based on the real story of the 2012 basketball team of Busan Joongang High School. 

The movie casts Ahn Jae HongKim Do WanJung Gun JooLee Shin Young, and rising stars Kim Min and Kim Taek, among others.
