Park Hae Soo in talks to reunite with Jeon Do Yeon in a new thriller mystery K-drama
Shin Ye Eun will reportedly work alongside Kim Tae Ri in a webtoon-based K-drama.
On February 22, media outlets reported that Shin Ye Eun will be joining the upcoming K-drama Jeong Nyeon wherein Kim Tae Ri is also in talks.
Shin Ye Eun's agency npio Entertainment responded to the reports. The agency confirmed that Shin Ye Eun did receive the offer and she is positively considering the offer to star in the series.
Jeong Nyeon will base its story on the webtoon of the same name written by Seo Irae and illustrated by Namon. It will depict the story of a Mokpo girl born in the 1950s after the Korean war. It will showcase her journey in chasing her dream of becoming a popular star and being rich.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Jung Ji In (The Red Sleeve) and writer Choi Hyo Bi (A Time Called You and Babysitter).
Shin Ye Eun got the offer to play the role of Heo Young Seo. The greatest rival of Kim Tae Ri's character, Yoon Jeong Nyeon.
Jeong Nyeon will begin filming in the second half of 2023.
If Shin Ye Eun confirms her casting, this will be her third K-drama for the year. She is expected to still appear in the upcoming second season of The Glory Part 2. She will also lead the upcoming K-drama Romantic Guest House with Ryeoun, Kang Hoon, Jung Gun Joo, Hyun Woo, and Oh Man Suk.
Shin Ye Eun made her acting debut in 2018. Since then, she has appeared in several K-dramas such as A-Teen, He Is Psychometric, More Than Friends, Yumi's Cells Season 2, Revenge of Others, The Glory, and more.
